Former TNA star Christopher Daniels was a guest on Between the Ropes with Brian Fitz this week.

Moving Back to Ring of Honor

"I'm very excited man. It's a challenge for me. I've been away for a couple of years, and there's been a lot of new faces that have come into the company, and there's a lot of guys that are still around that I've had great matches with back in 2010. It's always a challenge to go back to a company and establish a place for yourself on the roster. Those guys have their spots, and are going to fight to keep them. The first night I get there I want to see what everyone reaction to me is going to be."

How is Chris enjoying his new life as a comic book star?

"It's a lot of fun. There's always been a lot of cross-over between comic book fans and wrestling fans. It's cool to see that cross-section coming to meet me at these conventions. At the same time there are a lot of little kids that aren't necessarily wrestling fans, but they come up and see the comics, and they're interested in seeing it. And if they read the comic book, and get interested in seeing Frank and I wrestle, then that's an added plus to me. Not only am I sort of reaching the fanbase I already had, but I'm branching it out to younger fans that may not know about Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian."

Disappointment in Leaving TNA

"I was more disappointed than surprised. We weren't really used very often in the last couple of months. When I realized that wasnt' going to change, and they were going in a different direction with their talent roster – I was disappointed. But the people in the creative decision-making process believe that they have a good view of the future, and if I don't fit into that than I understand. I'm going to try and go off and show the world that that was a bad decision."

Disappointment w/ How TNA Handled Bad Influence

"Frankie [Kazarian] and I have really only scratched the surface of what we can do as a team. I felt like in the last year or so TNA didn't get behind us as a team 100%. That's unfortunate, but that's a decision they make … One of things I wanted to pattern our team after was Bobby Roode and James Storm as Beer Money. They were together for 4 years, and were always together at the top of the card in some way, shape or form. There was always a mindset that they were always players in the game. It took awhile, but finally they made the decision to split them up, and you got two strong singles characters out of what was once a strong dynamic. And I always wanted that to be the case – to go the furthest we could go as Bad Influence. But I think we barely even scratched the suface of what we could do."
