The camera cuts to the backstage area at around mid-show. Backstage, Maddox Paine sits in his locker room with his trusty manager Eric Goodman seated next to him. The fans instantly fall into a berserk frenzy of loud cheers for the former XWA World Heavyweight Champion. The Titan suddenly begins to speak.

“Hitman Alex... last night, you beat me. Fair and square. I have no excuses. You bested me in our match despite me being literally one second away from retaining my title. Ever since last night I've been out of it. I had all the momentum in the world, and you went ahead and took that from me. I've been confused, I've been upset, and most importantly... I've been off my game.”
Paine turns towards his manager, who simply nods in agreeance.

“Now. That said, I don't plan on letting you stay on my throne. Last night you bested me by one second, next week, there won't be a time limit. There won't be any sneaking out of anything. The match isn't going to end unless one of us falls, and that isn't going to be me.”
“The Titan” gives the camera a stern look, possibly forcing whoever is holding it to shit himself.

“Next week, on the 80th edition of Vendetta, I plan to take back what is mine. I plan to re-ascend to where I belong and get my momentum back. I won't allow you to keep MY spot at the top. I was up there once, I felt the taste of the good life. A taste of being at the top of the food chain. And I want to go back up there. These past few weeks, I've had tons of people wanting to fight me. From David Michaels, to Riley Williamson, to Danny Diamond, to Robert Chapman, and you know what? It feels pretty damn good to know that they know who I am and what I am capable of. I am the best of the best, the toughest of the tough. They don't call me 'The Titan' for nothing. I will surpass you and anyone else who decides they want to step up to the plate and challenge me.”
Paine takes another short pause.

“So next week, I will beat you, I will regain my prize, and then I will defeat whoever it is that wants to challenge me. Riley Williamson is going to be the number one contender and I will be the one to step up to the plate and kick his ass at the Big Ass American Bash. To get there, I must go through you. You may have bested me last night, but next week... Hitman Alex, I'm coming after you.”
Paine says the last few words of this segment in an insanely intimidating way. The glare on his face tells the story, and Hitman Alex and anyone else who wants to challenge him... have been put on notice.
