TNA color commentator Mike Tenay made a brief reference to the return of Destination X event during last night’s Impact Wrestling broadcast. Tenay confirmed that the event is returning this summer although no other information was given.

The previous two Destination X shows were made into standard Impact Wrestling events and featured what TNA now calls the ‘Option C’, the option for the current X-Division champion to trade in his X-Division championship in exchange for a World Heavyweight Title shot. Both Austin Aries and now former TNA Star Chris Sabin were both crowned TNA World Heavyweight Champion at Destination-X using the ‘option C’.
