SEGA has released its financial results for the last financial year, revealing sales figures for the likes of Total War: Rome II, Football Manager 2014 and Sonic Lost World.

The results cover the year ending March 31, 2014, during which time SEGA saw profit fall 8.2 percent to ¥30.7 billion ($302 million).

The stand out performer was Total War: Rome II, which managed to shift 1.13 million units across Europe and North America since its September 2013 release. This was followed by the always-successful Football Manager 2014, which sold 790,000 copies. Though this doesn't quite rival the 940,000 sold by FM13, developer Sports Interactive explained this was because illegal versions of this year's edition surfaced much earlier.

Rounding out the top three was Sonic: Lost World on Wii U and 3DS, which managed to move 710,000 units across Europe, North America and Japan. Company of Heroes 2 sold 680,000 copies in the US and Europe, with Japanese-only title Ryu ga gotoku Ishin! moving 390,000 boxes.

SEGA commented that traditional game sales are slowing quickly, while digital games for PC and mobile remain strong. Unsurprisingly then, in the next financial year SEGA plans to focus on more titles like that, such as Phantasy Stay Online 2. The big draw for Western gamers however is likely to be the upcoming Alien: Isolation, while Sonic Boom and a new Football Manager will likely do their bit too.
