WWE hopes to have The Rock back for Wrestlemania 31 in Santa Clara, CA next year and have already penciled in a potential match for him against Brock Lesnar. There are a lot of things that can happen between now and then but this is a bout the company wanted to do this year before it was learned Rock would not be available.

Another match possibility for Rock outside of Wrestlemania is one against Sting. We’re told both Rock and Sting want the match, however, it’s unknown when it could possibly take place. This is in addition to the aforementioned plans for Wrestlemania 31.

Sting won’t be wrestling much when he starts with WWE but currently wants his run to conclude at Wrestlemania 31 next year. Therefore a bout against Rock would have to take place in the next 11 months. He is under WWE contract but we do not know when he is scheduled to officially debut.

Totally just dawned on me we're far more likely to see Rock vs. Sting than ever seeing Rock vs. Michaels. Jeeeeeez.

Well, that run of good Wrestlemania main events was fun while it lasted.

The run being Wrestlemania 30.

You never know, Mink. Rock/Sting might go on 2nd to last, just prior to the Bryan/Cena rematch of the century.

Idk if I wanna see Rock/Sting as a main event, but I'd enjoy seeing the match at WM.

I think when they say "main event" they just mean a top level match, rather than the actual last match on the card.

I think the title match will be the last match on the card. Would love to see what Ian said with Bryan vs Cena.

Also, Rock should really just return full-time. He's healthy, he's in great shape, he just needs to kick off the ring rust.

He's also making a shit ton of money in Hollywood...so that ain't ever happening xD

He should wrestle while his body can still take it, and then go back to acting once he's in his 50s.

And he probably wont. Rock/Sting in all honesty should main event Summerslam. You dont necessarily need to have all your dream matches like that take place at Wrestlemania.

He may not be available for SummerSlam. He has a big movie coming out around this time anyways.

Sting should wrestle at a Mania. If that's his only match, it should be @Mania.

I would be 100% OK with him doing two: 1 with Rock and 1 with Taker

Yeah, I think his movie Hercules is a summer release, so he probs won't be available for SS.
