I didn't want to make this topic, but I'm left with no choice from how 11th Hour turned out.

Does the time that Breakdown goes up and finishes need to be altered?
Do we need to go back to how things were years ago? Meaning shorter word limits (500, 750, 1000) and each person had a specific deadline for when they can post?
Do we simply close 2WWF's doors again?

I don't want to give up on 2WWF. I'm busting my ass trying to get it going again. Now someone might say "Well Myke, you no-showed too." - Yes, I did. I've talked about that in the shoutbox: I'm done with fedding because of work. I'll be able to GM.

The problem is, no one wants to help each other out. There's very little promo feedback. The voting is always dealt with; there are some members who vote and I thank them for that. (Maybe we should go back to assigned voting?) It seems as if the fedders don't care. I try to spice things up by not having Singles Matches all the time. Writing the same thing over and over can get tedious, no? If people disagree, then I won't do random stipulations from time-to-time.

This is a turn-based fed. We cannot afford for everyone to be posting in the last hour. If that was the case, I would put up a card and have it be up for 48 hours.

And if someone says "Why not become a full-match fed like XWA?" then my response is: "Join XWA then. Why have two of the same type of feds on the same site?"

I know one of the above is Snoopz who is done, so right there we got a total of 12 different fedders if not counting those with multiple charachters (Callum for example who i listed on one line)

Voting will ALWAYS be an issue with 2WWF sadly, I mean there are weeks I admit ive said FUCK voting because i know id be the ONLY one to do it unless ask others and they comply. I mean, the week where everyone voted their asses off was a shock to me and is what I wish it would be like but alas it isnt.

Match stips, I dont care either way. having been in the game for so long, can do either or.

As far as word limits, sometimes they can be an issue, other times it can be peoples willingness and available time. I mean, for example the world title match from the PPV. With four people, 3000 words IMO was a bit too much. When I saw the match I was figuring ok maybe like 1500 a person, allows a good length and stuff without overkill, maybe 2 K at the tops since so many people involved.

I do like how if one person tends to undershot it a bit their opponent does try to match that as well, it shows that people can do the limit given but work with less as well. Id say give it another week or two and see how things go before going back to those limits and the super dire situations, if needed then yeah slowly scale back as needed and see how that fits. I dont want it to close, but I admit this was a really poor showing from us all aside of a select few.

2WWF isn't where I fed and never will be so my opinion on the matter counts for little, but honestly if people are only able to write around 500 words a week, they shouldn't be fedding at all. Your matches are gonna' just end up in bullet points...

Honestly, what needs to be done is evolve your systems. Sticking with the same type forever means that the fed is never moving forwards. XWA was nothing like it currently is when it first started in 2008 and because it kept changing (even just with subtle things) it's still here today. Also that voting thing needs to be scrapped. Just have assigned people to do it. Barely any fedder these days will sit down and read other people's stuff because if half your roster can barely write a 1000 words a week, they sure as heck ain't gonna' have time to read other people's matches.

That's just what I think. It'd be a shame to see it go again after it has merged with XWA. You all clearly love the fed to keep on bringing it back time and time again, so shutting up shop would suck.

I think it's very much that we have mostly older 2WWF people in the fed who are getting older and have less time. Unless we get a few XWA guys in or new people we're not going to get full shows. 11th Hour showed that the older 2WWF guys are really too busy for e-fedding and like Axel's list shows that doesn't leave a lot of people especially if one or two people no-show.

Firstly, sorry that I have dropped away lately. I've been busy with quite a few things going on in my life at the moment...

I'm not going to pull any punches here:

The problem is everybody is a mark for themselves and think they're writing masterpieces - but aren't willing to read and care about the rest of the show. So these 'masterpieces' aren't even being read by anybody either. Same applies to nearly all Feds. That's the reason why we don't get feedback and votes, people are too busy loving themselves.

The only way to improve that is storylines, storylines, storylines. This is role play. As bookers we need to do is put people together at the start of the month and say: "you're working together this month and will meet at the PPV. Make a an interesting build up to your match by working together". Then management need to supplement that with 'Power 5', News Articles, definitely match banners for signatures and so on. Matches/competition is the wrong way to go. To be honest, I would even predetermine the match results to make it like 'real' wrestling. You're roleplaying a wrestler in a fed who is trying to get over and the more interesting you make your angles and matches, the more opportunities you get. Or I would only have 1 competitive show a month at the PPV. But people need to feel like the fed is alive and there is interesting things happening around them and they need to be made aware of them.

If I've spotted something a news story about an angle that's going on, it will pique my interest and I'll read the match and promos. The management have to put people in angles and promote them big all over the site.

I can try my hardest to put some time aside from my hectic schedule to fed again to keep things going. I doubt i can make that big of a difference but i can try.

I apologize for no showing. I'm not going to say this week was busy, but seeing as it was Spring break I kinda just relaxed the entire time. The time wasn't an issue, although maybe 2 week PPVs are the way to go. That said, I don't really have any excuses for no showing. I was lazy and I shouldn't be, I'll try to still fed on both feds but depending on what happens next card I may need to just drop 2W since I can't keep up with both. I'll see what happens though.

That said, I agree with Chilly, honestly. You can't keep the same system going for years and expect it to stick. If the fed is still the same way as was years ago, that just isn't going to work. You need to evolve to keep people interested. If XWA was the way it was in 2009, we wouldn't have survived this long. You NEED to evolve. For one, definitely the world limits. 500 words is TINY. That's like one paragraph or one and a half. Impossible to tell a story.

Don't quit now. If anything go on a small "break" like Chikara or summit. The summer is always going to be best for feds.

There has to be a way to get people to post sooner. I think the way to do that is to impose multiple deadlines, but you already said nah to that.

I can only speak for myself when it comes to why I have been far less active in 2WWF than in XWA.

1. The 2WWF deadline is usually the same or nearly the same as Vendetta. Makes it difficult to work two matches like that. To avoid this you could set 2WWF to a two week deadline. I have been in feds that had two different shows, and one was usually a two week deadline.

2. I am not fond of the 2WWF grading system. It sounds great on the surface, but leaves room for people to be biased and vote in favor of their buddies or against someone just because they may not like them because of something said in chat or OOC threads, stc. What you could do to improve upon this is do it similar to Vendetta. Or maybe put together a judging panel, 3 people (with one or two extra as alternates) that will comment and vote on it.  I thought it was already set up that way but I was wrong.  

3. Word limits are great but there's no other things in play to make sure it goes smooth. It would be better if you designated who is to post first in the match when you post the card. Maybe by expanding the deadline we could do more back and forth stuff too, meaning each person can post possibly two action posts a piece. Right now 2WWF is set up basically just like Vendetta, only whoever posts first just doesn't write their version of the ending. In conjunction to that, you could set a 72 hour rule, which means whomever you designate to post first has to do so within 72 hours. If they do not, then the other person posts and the person who was to post first would get a penalty that goes against them during the grading process.  Also, trim the fat. If someone hasn't posted with a character on the roster in x amount of weeks, you delete their character from the 2WWF roster and prohibit them from bringing that character back in for x amount of time.

Some good points there. I agree with a two week deadline.

A designated posting order was something we did in the past too. People were able to request in sign ups if they wanted to post first or second, but it wasn't a guarantee. Then what happened is the card was up Thursday evening, if they hadn't posted by Saturday midnight, the 2nd person didn't have to wait any more.

I still believe we need to get the focus away from competition/grading/voting. Doesn't mean there wouldn't be a competitive element. I just want people to focus on fun and working with an opponent to make an entertaining story. And as in real wrestling, it's not who 'goes over' that gets the opportunities, it's the people that have best matches and most entertaining angles.

1 competitive match per month at the PPV or 1 every fortnight. And the rest of the time is for promoing matches and angles to build the hype. You actually can't have too much of this, be it in-ring segments, backstage interviews, chat shows, vignettes, news articles (kayfabe or non-kayfabe), and so on.
