I thought I was the only one who thought Mega was over-rated?

I don't see how you can call someone overrated when you haven't read many of his matches.

Having read his matches, I thought he was overrated, but then again, almost all of the guys who have main evented at one point or another here have been overrated. Myself included. Cause in the end, how many people actually read the matches? I haven't read a match for fun since early 2011, and ever since it's been for grading and that's about it. I might skim through to get a gist, but I don't really read them unless I have a real reason to.

And I know half you bitches didn't read Mega's matches, cause a lot of people like to go on about him only winning cause he wrote long matches. He had some good spots, lots of good entertainment. I just felt that he did too much in pretty much all of his matches. There were maybe two matches where I felt he was dead-on with the length, and those were his shorter ones.

When he kept them short they were great. He did an amazing job in the tag chamber match. Its like you said, nobody has ever really read his matches, which is why I find it annoying when they call him overrated.

I remember people were calling Caleb overrated and I said he would still whoop ass. Next thing you know he comes back and almost wins the world title. You niggas just call anyone overrated cause they not around anymore and you forgot what they can do or you just do t like them.

Yeah, I'm honestly still mad at myself for fucking my schedule with that match, cause I really wanted to see how I matched up with Mega (and you, but we both know how that's gone in the past). Blew that chance, against a great match too.

And as far as Mega being overrated, his matches were a little too spotty and it seemed like sometimes it would flow very awkwardly because of that. Have I done that before though? Hell yeah. Like Ruro said, all of us main eventers are overrated at times. I was looked at as a fedding God at the beginning of XWA, but looking back on it I wasn't good at all. It was a new company lacking talent and I managed to be the best of the average.

If it's such a pain to read matches that people obviously put a lot of effort into, why have them so long?

A lot of writers around that time were not quality writers. Idk why you put Mega on the spot alone there when everyone was basically the same. He later changed his style on his last return which I know nobody read.

I don't know about Jay but I'm not trying to put Mega on the spot. He took early XWA as a game and won by playing to it, instead of writing a different style and hoping the rules changed (Or changing the rules.) Nothing wrong with what he did, I just couldn't stand to read it.... but there's a reason I quit E-Fedding for so damn long... The way the E-Feds were structured then wasn't appealing to me.

I don't think many people tried writing in a different style then cause we didn't feel the need to. We were having fun with what we were doing and didn't see anything wrong with it so why try to change something when you are already having fun the way it is.

I remember when I was always pretty much guaranteed entrances against everyone, except fucking Mack because I was stupid enough to tell him how detailed mine were that one time...

That and Promos/Entertainment were the two categories I used to play to over realism/conclusion. Hell I think I won conclusion twice the entire time categories around.

I was just planning some generic paragraph entrance for each person until you told me about yours and I changed it up. still gotta love how a fatal four way turned into a one on one between Macck and T.K. lol

Can you blame us? We have a hard enough time finding inspiration to write our own matches, let alone reading something that long.

When I read his KoX match against me, I can't remember the exact timeframe, but it took me hours to finish it, because it was 100+ pages on Microsoft Word. I'm sorry, but that is absolute overkill.

Honestly Mega to me was overrated in the fed.
Out of the fed, I liked him he was fun chill cool.
In the fed, he was just overrated. I read some of his matches, and I could never finish. Yea he is good, but the MAIN reason he's known for is LONG matches.

The reason why I never thought of Caleb as overrated was because he was just writing like everybody else and like he said, compare to everybody he was just better than the average. T.K, SOG, Chilly, Leo, etc...The same way.

You've obviously never read any of his matches then
During the time Mega was successful, everyone in the fed wrote that way, he was just better than everyone else.

 You really don't have the right to say anything. Mega was winning most of his accomplishments even before, when he didn't write long matches.

Guys, let's be real....it's not Mega. Last time he left, he was sick of all of you.

How you gonna tell me I never read any of his matches when he is the guy that brought me into fedding and showed me how it went? Come on now. Let's not be silly.

Also, I have never tried to win Technical in my entire life. I always went entrances, promos and respect.

I will say this, though people criticize Megaman for having quantity over quality, I would rather read a 50+ page Megaman match over a 50+ page Headhunter match any day.

I never tried to win technical, I just did cause I got carried away while writing my matches. That's the exact same thing Mega told me too. He said he didn't write long matches on purpose. He had a lot of ideas and let them all out.

I'll be honest, I've never read a Megaman match. And unless he returns and writes the same length everyone else is writing, I never will. I don't care how good a writer you are, there's nothing that will make me read matches that long. >_> Having said that, I don't think if he was good or not. It'd be interesting if this guy did end up being him, though.

Although Natural has told me on Skype that he's contemplated returning, so it very well might be him.

Agreed on the Headhunter comment.
