According to PWInsider.com, there were plans in TNA to have Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards win the tag team titles during The UK tour, however there were numerous arguments made that it was too soon for them to win.

Interestingly, the tag team titles will be defended at TNA's upcoming PPV taping in Japan with Wrestle-1, and the only two teams being advertised for the event are The Wolves and Kazarian and Daniels.

Putting the belts on them right away wouldn't be smart. Build them up to the point where it matters that they've won the belts and, thus, people care.
