According to Variety, Marvel has been so impressed with the production and test screenings for Captain America: The Winter Soldier that that are reportedly moving on the third installment. Marvel wants Anthony and Joe Russo back in charge of the film as well. No official greenlight has been given, and negotiations with Anthony and Joe Russo will likely start right after Captain America: The Winter Soldier is released. Varietyalso notes that several of the actors attached to the franchise has an option for a third film.
