When the possibility of TNA Wrestling being sold was reported awhile back, a celebrity name was rumored as one of the lead candidates in the deal. Billy Corgan, frontman for Smashing Pumpkins was one name that was discussed, but those rumors were shot down by both Corgan himself and Dixie Carter.

F4WOnline.com is now reporting that country music star Toby Keith was in fact the lead man in the group that expressed interest in buying TNA Wrestling. It was believed that Jeff Jarrett would have either remained with TNA or brokered the deal due to his close relationship with Keith.

Even More Details on AJ Styles' TNA Return
As we recently reported, AJ Styles will be returning to TNA, and the backstage word coming out of the company is that he has been figured into their creative plans going forward. TNA expects Styles to return at either the January 16th tapings in Hunstville or the January 30th show in Glasgow.

these tapings we won't see for a long time. so it will be weeks between when we see the episode when he leaves and when he comes back.

Also, Corgan buying TNA WOULD make much more sense since he owns his own independent promotion and NOT because he's good friends with Double J, the guy who recently left the company.

They should have returned AJ at a live event like Lockdown and surprise everyone
