Hulk Hogan thought about taking his own life in 2007.
The wrestling legend hit rock bottom after he began to realise his body couldn't cope with the same ring rigours it used to, his reality TV show 'Hogan Knows Best' reality show - co-starring his wife Linda, and children Brooke and Nick - was cancelled and his marriage was heading for divorce.

Speaking on TV show 'Oprah: Where Are They Now?' he said: ''Everything got dark, everything happened at once. I was drinking alcohol very heavily. It just all kept piling up. I always wondered how could someone possibly take their own life, and so I got to that point where I said, 'You know what, maybe this would be easy. You know, maybe this would be an easy way to fix things.' ''

That year the former WWE star - real name Terry Bollea - had to support his son Nick after he was jailed for reckless driving after crashing his car, severely injuring his friend John Graziano in the incident.
Hulk couldn't take the ''negativity'' surrounding him but on one tough night it was the love of his fans that made him realise he could change his life.

He added: ''There was incident in Miami on New Year's Eve where I was with my family and a bunch of my friends at a table. And there's a bunch of negativity about the food being bad, you know the champagne didn't work, even though it was all consumed.
''And when I walked outside, some kid ran up and hugged me and was like, 'Oh I grew up watching you. I didn't have a dad, you're like a dad to me.' And there was another person that said, 'Hey Hulk, we love you.'

''And I went, 'Oh my God' - it was right then ... once I walked back inside again, I realised I couldn't take it anymore. I got sick and tired of being sick and tired. I got sick and tired of the hating, the negativity, the verbal abuse - just everything that I was hearing.''
Hulk and Linda eventually divorced in 2009 and he went on to marry Jennifer McDaniel. He also worked for 'TNA IMPACT' wrestling from 2010 to 2013.

Nick served eight months in jail for reckless driving, while John will require 24-hour a day care for the rest of his life as a result of his injuries.
Speaking about the accident in 2010, Nick said: ''I pray every day that I will be able to deal with it. It's still at this point it's too much to think about. It's something that I carry with me every day.''

Hogan always cared about the fans, so yeah, it makes sense that he's full of shit for saying that his fans helped him through his depression. Try again.

That actually sucks. Hogan may be a moron now but that doesn't mean anybody should/would want him to kill himself.

Hogan's a lair. Everything that happened to him he did to himself.

I find it hard to believe 2 random fans made him snap back into reality because he was pissed about the food being bad.

If you read he said " And there's a bunch of negativity about the food being bad, you know the champagne didn't work, even though it was all consumed." He was talking about the others, he never said that he thought it was bad himself. That the others where bitching about it, even tho everything got ate up. and you know shit can happen like that can happen. A guy telling him that Hulk was like a father figure to him, people telling them that they love him. Cause that's the impact Hogan has brought to a lot of people.

And Yes Hogan has done dirty things over the years. Step on toes, lied, ruined some of his friendships. Ruined some companies. But 80% of people if they switched spots with Hogan they would have done the same shit. The other 20% are either lying or down right foolish. But you know he has paid for it. His body is broken, his wife left him. but no one should have these thoughts of Suicide and I am glad his friends, family, and fans made him change his mind.

I remember when his dumbass son got into that accident, Hogan actually had the nerve to place the blame on the kid who now needs to rely on others to maintain his life.

being a protective parent. yeah it was fucking stupid to say that, and he had no right to say any of that. But he was trying to protect his fuck of a son from going to jail. I would have said yes toss this idiot in jail, but he was just trying to protect his son. Fucking stupid, fucking wrong, but a lot of parents would do the same.

It was Nick who destroyed a persons life, not Hogan. If you're blaming anyone for that blame Nick.

No, but saying he's a bullshitter because he claimed he wanted to commit suicide is pathetic. Saying things like "He's a shitty parent" is pathetic.

ANYONE can feel like committing suicide at ANY time, it's a personal thing, not a "you dont even a reason to do it, wtf? Liar!"

Well if someone well off like Hogan wants to commit suicide either pushed all his friends and family away or he has no perspective.

Not saying Hogan didn't have a rough time. But it's something he did to himself and there's people out there that are going through worse and they keep going on.

it can take very little to get people to think about suicide. Hogan's wife left him, he has a fuck up for a son, his daughter will never go anywhere unless he puts her there, and the fact that his body is wrecked and he is always in pain. You don't think all that couldn't get someone to think about suicide? I mean some people can go past that, other's can't.
