I've been so pissed off all day.

Got eliminated in my Survivor pool that I've been in all season long... and I lost because I let my dad convince me to pick the Washington Redskins today.

What I'm pissed about is the Redskins weren't on my mind AT FUCKING ALL to pick ALL week. I was debating ONLY between the Colts & Vikings FOR LIKE SIX DAYS (as I mentioned in the chatbox last week when I mentioned my Survivor pool). Point spread doesn't have any involvement in Survivor but for reference, the Redskins were the 7.5 point favorites and the Colts were only 4.5, the Vikings 5.5. I literally had the Colts picked in my account and my dad started saying how I'm fucking up and the Redskins are a much safer bet (I did bet $300 on the Giants +7.5 tho so that I'm guaranteed to win money - this is the only good idea my dad had but not when I lose the damn Survivor pick... this same idea would've worked with the Jags +4.5 / Colts winning the game). So literally only because he was so against it, I started to second guess myself and eventually went with the Redskins pick for Survivor / $300 bet on Giants with the 7.5 points.

Now, the Colts did almost lose that game anyway (who I was leaning towards 75% throughout the week) but that doesn't mean anything when they still won and the Vikings destroyed the Bears in their win (who I was thinking about the other 25% throughout the week).


Long story short, these shitty Redskins cost me like $3000+ on a $30 survivor entry for a team I didn't even actually want to pick and I'm so pissed that I got influenced into changing my pick because my gut has been right ALL season up until this point. Oh and for sure I'm absolutely cursed btw.

This is exactly the kind of bullshit that always happens to me with sports-related shit.

I'm legit so pissed today that I'd throw down fists with you IRL after that comment.

And I got screwed the fuck over in this... it wasn't even my decision.

I still have $300 because of my point spread bet on the Giants on an initial $30 investment in this Survivor pool so I'm not mad about the gambling side of it at all (even if I lost money I wouldn't be THAT mad over it). I'm mad that my instincts were right like they were for 16 weeks worth of picks in this thing and I listened to my dad this time for some reason when it mattered the most and that cost me much more money than I did win.

Money aside, I feel like I wasted so much time (and mental capacity ) picking these teams every week only to get fucked over at the very end. (and I think I called it happening last week when we were talking about it in the chat )

I'm still in like an anger hangover today btw.

Nah I told you Colts or Vikings. I said I already had the Steelers picked before Week 17.

The Colts & Vikings both won. Like I said, my dad got me to pick the Redskins because he was heavily in favor of them winning just because they had the bigger line (-8.5, -7.5 later in the week) and were supposedly the safer bet.

I felt so bad about making that pick and didn't think it was a good pick at all... I can't believe I went with it. It's so fucking frustrating.
