According to sources, TNA offered Mickie James a new contract at an estimated $60,000 a year to remain with the company. James turned down the offer and is no longer with the company. She is currently taking bookings now and is charging $1,800 per appearance on the independent wrestling scene.

Attempts to get comments from James about the report were not returned.

$5000 a month, it's alot of money to us ordinary people but to wrestlers, 5k isn't much at all.
Don't they have to pay for their own travel and hotel expenses themselves too? If they do, they won't have much change from $5000.
They could offer her more.

She's worth a bit more than that. And if they cut off "expenses" with guys like Hogan and Eric Bischoff, they'd be in a better position to offer fair contracts to those wrestlers that ACTUALLY matter to the company...
... that's how they lost Matt Morgan to begin with.

I hope they do eventually re-sign her. He stuff in recent months was great to watch.
