After watching the Final Deletion trailer for Matt vs Jeff
Since they are pretty much are going balls to the wall with this...I say...TNA should just be that. Balls to the wall over the top shit. TNA has no identity anymore, expect being known as the cockroach company. I am sure Matt and Jeff have had full creative control of their feud...I say...give them creative control over TNA. The brand is pretty much a dying one...This probably either kill them more or delay their death a little longer. But hell might as well go with it and get people talking.

It'll be amazing the first time then people will see it for the garbage it is. Or they know it's trash and just want to see a train wreck. TNA can't do this all the time. People will get bored of it and stop talking.
That said I think they did a great job of being crazy and building to this. They did a great job of getting the word out there about this. Hopefully it pops them a rating.

I'm just waiting for TNA to hire God and having "Him" shooting on Vince McMahon. That'll put some butts on their seats

Embrace the over the top shit so they can bury themselves even more? Bad idea.

This might even turn the remaining regular viewers off. We'll have to see what happens to the ratings this week and the next.

I actually watched the Final Deletion (albeit with commentary by Bryan Alvarez and Vinnie somethingorother). It's the first time I've watched TNA for ages, and the first time I've intentionally watched TNA (as in not just randomly put it on because it's on TV and I'm bored) for years.
So that's good. Problem is, this storyline is so self-contained, I've watched it, and I have no idea what else is going on in TNA, and I've got no incentive to go and check anything else out. This is all I see people talking about from TNA, so I've just watched this, and now I'm going to go back to watching the odd WWE PPV.
I can also see this sort of thing getting old really quick. It's hilarious, and I think they know exactly what they're doing (like a Sharknado sort of thing), but I wouldn't want to watch it week in/week out and for a whole show.

Just watched the Final Deletion (the "Director's Cut" on YouTube).
I'll give them props for three moments. One, Jeff's Swanton off the tree was cool. Why he tried to pin Matt after Matt dodged and Jeff landed on the ladder made no sense, but still. And then two moments that happened back to back made me laugh. The "Oh shit" and then "It's a dilapidated boat!"
Other than that, I have no clue why people are actually saying this was good. Some are saying "so bad it's good" and others are saying it was genuinely good because of how creative it was. I don't think either is true. Aside from those two moments mentioned above that made me laugh, I didn't find any of it funny. It was just horribly acted and stupid, but not in a funny way, to me.
And then there was that fucking Vince Russo ass swerve with Senor Benjamin being the guy in the Willow mask that made absolutely no sense.
I have to question whether they were going for a, as Mink said, Sharknado sort of thing or they actually believe this was good (from TNA's perspective, that is). Anyone who thinks this was actually good just because it was different needs to fuck off. Unique doesn't always mean good.
If you thought it was so bad it's good, fair enough, but I didn't even think that. I just thought it was awful.

and I am one of those people who are saying it is "so bad, it's good". It was so damn stupid, but I couldn't turn away from it. I said it was like a low budget michael bay movie. Really tho it is more like a Ed Wood movie.

Well, they just pulled in record ratings on POP TV for this, so maybe they should do over the top shit every week to stay relevant tbh. It worked for WWE in the 90s.

They can't do this every week. Fans would lose interest over time.

I think WWE has been watching, too. Let's see what happens when the New Day visits the Wyatt's compound.

It's a sad sad day if WWE is getting so desperate that they just copy TNA

What do you guys think? Did TNA did more harm to themselves than good to pop a rating?
