After working several matches with him, AJ Styles says Roman Reigns is better than people give him credit for. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Styles talked about his Extreme Rules opponent and the heat he gets from fans.

"I think [Reigns] is a better athlete than a lot of people realize. He should get a lot more credit for his athleticism," Styles said of the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. "He's unbelievable, he can do a lot of stuff. I think he's been able to showcase that with me. We're doing something right – I don't think people gave Roman a chance."

The former TNA World Champion has a theory about why Reigns gets booed so loudly by the live WWE audiences. "In fact, I think a lot of fans jumped on the bandwagon when someone started booing, instead of taking the chance to see what he could do in the ring," Styles said of Reigns' heat with the crowds.

AJ also said he never expected to wrestle at a WrestleMania, and that doing that is a big notch on his belt. Styles mentioned working a WWE main event as another highlight for him, and says someday he wants to be in the Hall of Fame.

It's probably how he was booked

He's deluded as fuck if he thinks people are booing Roman only because he's not a great wrestler.

People boo / give Roman hate because they're being force fed a wrestler they don't want to see or they're tired of; it's the booking. Hell, Cesaro and Ziggler get huge pops from the crowd; AJ, Gallows and Anderson get amazing reactions as well even though they're heels. Who knows what pop Shinsuke Nakamura or Finn Balor will get once they get to the Main Roster.

Well you have to admit Wrestling fans are a fickle bunch and most have short attention spans. I do agree people hate being forced fed wrestlers, but really most fans don't know what they want nowadays. Remember when Daniel Bryan became World Champion? As soon as he did some people actually started to turn on him. If you remember him saying. "Wow, so this must what it feels like to be Cena?". Kinda hard to appeal to fans these days because they can turn on you in a heart beat.

Because most of the fans are smarks and idiots that know jack shit of wrestling.
The Problem with the WWE nowadays is not caring about their fans; and because of that, fans became even more stupid in the process.

So very true. I like to compare wrestling fans with Star Wars fans. Very passionate, but also extremely whiny and fickle.
