A trademark for something called Alan Wake's Return has been filed in Europe, igniting renewed interest in the franchise's possible return.

A poster over at NeoGAF found a trademark entry by franchise creators Remedy, but it's unknown what product this is specifically referring to.

In a previous interview with Game Informer, Remedy creative director Sam Lake said of another Alan Wake, "...sure, it is an option down the line."

Currently the studio is working on Quantum Break for Xbox One and PC, which is due on April 5.
