DING DING DING

The last ding of the bell echoes throught the arena, officialy starting this bout. It, however, does nothing to quell the stillness of Azrael, who seems to be looking through The World Heavyweight Champion; clad in a simple black shirt and jeans, his face still scarred from what he endured in his match at Redemption. This can be considered strange, however, as the Maniac Unmasked looked determined to redeem himself earlier tonight when he promised to decimate Razor Xtreme as his way of penance; much to the delight of the fans. This inconsistency is noticed by The Rated Y2X Superstar, which prompts the smug champion to start approaching and insulting his disturbed adversary. “What happened to all that tough talk, eh?” barks Razor as he places a palm on his opponent’s chest and shoves him back. Azrael responds simply glaring at his opponent, perhaps more preoccupied with the voices in his head than the champion standing in front of him. Nevertheless, Azrael’s wild eyes momentarily causes Razor to be taken aback, only for him to start chuckling to himself; completely oblivious to the dangerous man who once beat his enforcer, Maddox Paine.

Deciding he’s had enough of this stalling, Razor suddenly pulls his fist back and launches it towards the Devil’s Reject’s skull. His adversary anticipates this, and quickly steps to the side; catching the Highest Level off guard. Before Razor can even react, Azrael follows through by swiftly driving his knee into Razor’s stomach; prompting the latter to immediately bend over as he presses his forearms onto his midsection as he stumbles backwards. As the Greatest of All Time attempts to move away from his dangerous opposition, the Maniac Unmasked outstretches his arm and grabs a handful of Razor’s hair; before forcefully pulling the Champion towards him like a fish being reeled out of the water. With his prey in his grasp, Azrael quickly turns and throws Razor onto the top turnbuckle behind him, savagely ramming his crainium onto the padded steel. The Californian immediately grabs his forehead from the throbbing pain, prompting the Devil’s Reject to push his opponent’s shoulder and shove him back first onto the turnbuckles. As Razor leans onto the turnbuckles, Azrael viciously strikes the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion with a right hook which causes his adversary to violently whip his head to the side. Hoping to keep control of this match, Azrael begins throwing successive strikes onto his opponent’s temple, each shot rocking the Rated Y2X Superstar harder; wearing his adversary down with each strike quickly being followed by another in a brutal display of brawling that the Maniac Unmasked is infamous for. This mugging of perhaps the most hated man in the XWA causes the Dunkin Dougnuts Center to erupt in cheers despite Azrael not being a fan favorite. After a while, the sadistic brawler’s shots go slower, and he eventually backs up to take a breather; which leads Razor stumbling forwards as he falls to a knee. Upon noticing this, Azrael quickly yanks The Highest Level by his hair and throws him onto the center of the ring; where Razor lands face first onto the mat.

The Champion quickly gets on all fours and attempts to crawl away from his aggressor; but this proves futile once the Violet Eyed Psychopath darts towards him, leaping up just before he reaches Razor only to slam his right boot onto the back of the LA Native’s skull and driving his opponent’s face back down to the mat in a horrifying fashion. XWA’s savior rolls onto his back near the ropes as he slams his legs onto the mat to release the tension, holding onto both the front and back of his head from the barbaric curbstomp. Azrael begins smirking at his downed opponent, taking a moment to admire his work. The Sadistic Brawler then unexpectedly whips his head to the side, as if something had caught his attention. The Pensylvanian displays an irked expression, his gaze unwavering from his side. “What!?” he asks, despite no one being there; much to the confusion of the audience. Azrael’s displeased look slowly turns into a smirk, as he utters “My pleasure.” in an ecstatic tone, as he looks to his opponent again; who is now on one knee with an arm slung over the middle rope, trying to get back to his feet. The Devil’s Reject dashes at his opponent, looking to put him down once again; but things don’t go according to plan as Razor is somehow able to bends down at the last second and puts his arm around Azrael’s leg. The Greatest of All time then gets back to a vertical base, tossing Azrael over his head and the top rope; causing the Maniac Unmasked to crash onto the ringside floor back first.

The Centralian arches his back and turns to his side wincing from the sudden blunt pain on his spine. Razor looks on to his opposition as he grips the back of his skull in an attempt to mend the beating he’s endured; yet grinning all the same as he now plans to take control of this match. XWA’s Savior cranks his neck side to side before dropping down and sliding outside the ring. Azrael is almost to his feet, arms slung over the barricade with his chest leaning on it. Before the Pensylvanian can regain his balance, The Rated Y2X Superstar rears his foot and launches it quickly, striking Azrael’s spine horizontally with a vicious kick which cracks like a whip. The strike causes the sadistic brawler to grunt, then slowly grin from the pain. He faces the World Champion, but before he can fully turn back around; another kick lands onto his side.
