Hey guys, so, we are struggling right now. I had to do some thinking to get myself organized as head GM, and I figured, I’ll give you guys the low down from my point of view. The way I look at it, we have a decent roster, but we don’t see to have a great amount of motivation. We need to get our showing numbers up. I think that is something that is crucial for attracting new members.
We are currently putting on a biweekly Vendetta, with three shows between PPVs. Starting at Summer Sanitarium, we will be using a 1000 word spread for word limits. Opening matches will be 1000-2000 words, mid card matches will be 2000-3000, and the main event matches or title matches will be 3000-4000. If this doesn’t work, we will try lowering the limits.
I’m hoping to start some daily threads in the XWA Universe section to promote discussion around the fed. As well, I’m looking to start using the xwa.com forum more and make it exciting.
One other thing I want to address is, it’s been pretty bland reading matches lately. We need some storylines in the fed! I think that it’s something that will not only look good for new people, but make it more fun for writing. Start feuds, work with writers you haven’t worked with before, it won’t hurt, I promise.

I think one way to get people more motivated is if the promos actually get commented.

Storylines are important, though. If you're just there, having match after match with no story, you're going to get bored and lose motivation. People need to start talking to each other, or even the GMs, and coming up with storylines.

I agree with Snoopz as far as storylines are concerned. As someone who is a big advocate of storylines around here, I can say that the most fun I've ever had here was when I had something to build with someone. Something that actually got other people excited, too.

But, as they say, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink.
