TNA official Bob Ryder has been posting on a Disqus forum, answering questions regarding TNA. He talks about TNA's name, the move to Wednesdays

On why TNA won't change its name:

"TNA is too firmly established to drop it."

The move of Impact to Wendesdays:

"We are embracing the new Wednesday night strategy as a chance to attract a strong wrestling audience. Hopefully with a strong lead in we will expose our show to people who may not have watched otherwise.

Our agreement with Destination America has confidentiality language that prevent me from discussing specifics of our relationship. Their public statements (press release listing us a returning show and the ROH press release that reaffirmed we would air in prime time on Wednesday with the ROH lead in."

On negative reports about TNA:

"Just trudging forward right now trying to focus on the shows we have coming up. Might be some surprises. We try to ignore as much as possible all the negative stuff, but sometimes it's hard."

On the comparison of ROH and TNA:

"We have a pretty wrestling centric product already. I think it's more likely that ROH will have to improve their production values so they compare more favorably with us. Their lighting an production needs a bit of work."

Possibly working with ROH:

"Nothing is off the table as far as we are concerned. Things could get interesting. We look at them as neighbors not enemies."

TNA's production values has dropped since they lost that Spike TV money. They're about on par with ROH now.

When TNA first started on Destination America they looked like a house show being filmed for tv. Not sure if it was the arena they were in or what, but it looked bad.

Well they were only able to get 300 people in The Manhattan Center so they kept it really dark so it wouldn't look as bad.
