Ed Sheeran might come across as a sweet singer-songwriter, but we've always known he's rock and roll through and through.

Now, he's proven his rock god credentials by performing covers of heavy metal and rap classics on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.



Sheeran treated viewers to renditions of Iron Maiden's 'Run to the Hills' and Limp Bizkit's 'Break Stuff'.

The clip also sees Sheeran try his hand at rapping, performing a short cover of Ty Dolla $ign's 'Paranoid'.

Elsewhere, Sheeran recently visited his new waxwork at Madame Tussauds in New York for the first time.

He has also performed a duet with Kermit the Frog to raise money for the US's first ever Red Nose Day.
