| Show InformationBackgroundCreated by former professional wrestler and 2WWF League of Legends member, Dominik Diveraz, New Mexico Wrestling is located in Lordsburg, New Mexico, right near the border of Mexico, Diveraz's home. It's an independent company with no television deal, however its shows are available live on the internet for a small fee, with bigger shows (supershows) costing a little more. The arena, known as the Casa de Lucha, is a decent size for an independent company.ChampionshipsThe New Mexico Wrestling Lordsburg Heavyweight Championship - the top prize in NMW. Only the elite of the elite can hold it.The New Mexico Wrestling Hybrid Championship - The official championship of the Hybrid Division; for those who are fast and love to get hardcore.StaffDominik Diveraz [Commissioner]: This brash and seasoned ring veteran has done just about everything there is to do in wrestling, on a general scale. Standing only 5'4" and weighing in at a grand total of 174 pounds, the man from San Luis Potosi with an affinity for Taco Bell has worked for many companies; Future Of Wrestling, as a commentator, the World Wrestling Alliance as a commentator and interviewer, Real International Wrestling as a competitor, and of course Two Worlds Wrestling Federation, where he became a World Champion. With the closing of 2WWF, the man once known as the "Mystic Midget" has put his time and energy into helping create what has come to be known as New Mexico Wrestling, in Lordsburg, New Mexico. He can be as serious as a bomb when he wants to be, but is typically able to rip apart nay-sayers on the mic and make most of the audience laugh to boot. He comes off as a bit arrogant, but he knows his stuff. Whether or not he knows it well enough to remain commissioner has yet to be seen, but it should be fun to watch.Pedro Rios [Play-by-Play Commentator]: Born and raised on the southern side of the Rio Grande, Pedro Rios has been an avid follower of pro wrestling since the day he was born. Growing up on legends like El Santo and Blue Demon and the cultural craze they started Rios still has some of that childhood glee in every match he calls. Known to be personable (if not easily excited) and a middle of the road commentator, he often takes the side of whoever is fighting the fairest match. Rios is a fan of well coordinated mat wrestling but can appreciate a brawl provided both participants stay clean. Also isn't afraid to call faces on rule breaking or compliment heels on well executed maneuvers, though he does more of the latter.Joey Miles [Color Commentator]: Abrasive, loud, willfully ignorant and famous the world over Joey Miles has come to NMW in force. Already notorious for his almost unairable personality on 2WWF, Miles covers the color commentary during matches. While nominally rooting for the heels he tends to badmouth anyone and anything that comes into the ring (or just crosses his mind) regardless of their alignment if he doesn't like them for any reason whatsoever. Unless they manage to piss him off, however, he will pretty much kiss the ass of any and every bad guy that steps in the ring, even if he was just taking shots at them a second before. He also has an occasional tendency to stop paying attention to a match entirely and do something entirely irrelevant such as play video games (preferably Pokemon) or watch porn. Famous for his foul mouth and disregard for any kind of social norms, rumors abound that Miles has promised to crank his vulgarity up to 11 without pesky television broadcasting standards to get in his way.Bradley Joseph [Ring Announcer]: A local radio station DJ, Bradley Joseph has gladly accepted the job as Ring Announcer for the fledgling New Mexico Wrestling. It puts a few extra dollars in his pocket and it's a voice some of the local fans will recognize, adding some extra notoriety to his career, which includes appearances on numerous radio stations as well as some work for NBC. He brings a lot of charisma to everything he does and is typically well liked.Stephen Reid [Interviewer]: Another 2WWF "veteran", Stephen Reid has smarmed and snotted elbows with the top stars of the business without his alleged charm faltering once. Hated by the fans, hated by the wrestlers and only tolerated by management due to his status as a stool pigeon, Reid insists he is back with style. Known for taking passive aggressive jabs at interviewees, using words that he doesn't understand and keeping a foot in his mouth at all times Reid's hiring has been met with a collective groan from the 2WWF alumni backstage.Jack Price [Interviewer]: Jack Price's turbulent career has made another stop in NMW. Mild mannered and largely unassuming, Price has a determined naivety and almost childish grasp of right and wrong that puts him solidly behind the faces in any situation. An avid tower of company lines and shameless shiller of merchandise, Price is also the favorite victim of bullying heels. While not as widely despised as Stephen Reid, his hiring has drawn a concentrated "meh" from everyone backstage.Natashia Palkov [Interviewer]: Fresh from the Ukraine and still learning the finer points of the English language, Natasha Palkov brings an extensive sportscasting career and wide knowledge of athletics outside of pro wrestling. While eloquently spoken in her native tongue and at home in front of the camera, Palkov's limited grasp of English (and even worse understanding of sayings or metaphors) makes self expression difficult. Her inoffensive personality (among other things) has made her a dependable neutral interviewer.Shantel Cota [Interviewer]: The resident sex symbol of New Mexico Wrestling. Kadeedee is very promiscuous, which makes her a favorite of the guys. She may flirt whilst interviewing, but it's never anything more than just flirting since she feels men need to earn her. As far as her interviewing style goes, she sort of just goes through the motions. It's clear she wasn't hired for her interviewing ability, but rather for her appearance.Brian Dranse [Senior Official]: He's fair and calls things down the middle, whilst not fearing any of the talent. If a wrestler gets in his face, he won't be afraid to shove back.Yoshihiro Sanu [Referee]: Brother of XWA referee Ryu Sanu, Yoshihiro does things just as his brother does. He's fair, but doesn't usually step in unless absolutely necessary.RosterJobbers

| I just hope it's actual storylines and not just "he wins and interferes later--DQ" stuff like that. if you haven't checked out the Be the Booker section of WrestleClique, you need to. Those guys are good and I'd love for this place to get like that. |

| ^Post BTBs and once enough people start posting quality stuff, pretty much cop what WC is doing with Monthly BTB winners, which is based on people submitting 3 votes and whoever has the most votes from those submitted is the winner and the 2nd and 3rd place and so on are selected by whoever had second most and third and etc. It's generally a top 10, though I'd say we start at 5 since we probably won't have 10 people doing this to start. |
