As noted, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels recently revealed in an interview that he was very close to signing with WCW during the Monday Night Wars, and a new Extra Mustard interview with Kevin Nash now reveals The Undertaker was very close to jumping ship to WCW as well.

The following is what Nash had to say about ‘Taker’s “American Badass” biker gimmick:

“We had ‘Taker close. All of a sudden he wasn’t the Deadman. He became the American Badass for a reason. That Deadman wasn’t going to f—in’ come to WCW. He would have been the biker character and gone by Mark Calaway.

“All along, I was trying to get guys money, I was trying to get guys paid. And what happened was Vince started giving huge guarantees to the Shawns and Undertakers and those guys and said, ‘I can’t lose my core guys.’”

In the same interview, Scott Hall took exception to comments Chris Jericho has made about The Kliq throughout the years, and had the following to say:

“Jericho’s just a whining puss. If you have any talent, you can’t be held back and you can’t be held down. Jericho just whines and whines. He’s gone on to be tremendously successful, and he’s still got a hard on for us. I don’t get it, but nobody makes headlines for saying, ‘Those guys are great guys. You talk about what d—s we are, and then some guy sits down and interviews you.”

Sean Waltman added the following about Jericho’s arrival in WWE:

“Jericho realized, once he got to WWE, ‘Holy s—, I don’t know what the f— I’m doing here. That’s why Vince made him come to me and run his matches by me, even he was working with Boss Man or something. You think you know, until you finally know.”

That Taker story is utter bollocks

Kevin Nash has never given me reason to believe any of the bullshit that comes out of his mouth.

I can believe it, that was during a time where EVERYONE was jumping ship.

I don't buy it. I doubt Eric Bischoff ever came close to even making Undertaker on offer. The only time I know Taker was truly unhappy in WWE was when his "higher power" was revealed as Vince McMahon, but by that time he'd had to have known WCW was a sinking ship.

But if anybody other than Kevin Nash were to make this claim, I'd have an easier time believing it.

^ This is the statement of someone who's never been held down. We see immensely talented people held down all the time, and this defense is completely insulting.

Nash is known for fucking with the internet.

Like i said, it's not TOO farfetched to think that Taker could of possibly left if he was that upset, especially during a time where everyone was switching sides. Do i think WCW was THAT close to signing him away from the WWE? No. Nobody ever thinks the top guys would ever leave until it actually happens (Hogan, Savage, Bret).

Nash is retarded.

One can never believe entirely on what Hall, Nash or Waltman say / shoot on interviews, because most of the time, it's crap. Either to mess with the internet fans, or because their heads are all f'd up. (or both). Especially Nash, lol. I think he's the least legitimate person to say anything in regard to talents being hindered or not, seeing he's the one that booked himself to win the main title of the company he worked at :V

Anyone who thinks Taker was jumping ship to WCW in THE YEAR 2000 is nuts lol.
