WWE and Rolling Stone have officially announced Kevin Nash will be the final WWE Hall of Fame inductee announced on Raw tonight.

Although WWE initially wanted to induct Nash as Diesel, Nash noted in the Rolling Stone article that he would prefer to be inducted under his real name. A WWE spokesperson then confirmed Nash will indeed be inducted under his real name, Kevin Nash.

Nash had the following to say about the induction:

“I’ve been called just about everything, but this is the first time I’ll be called a Hall of Famer. It’s nice. It’s been a long 25 years, but this business has been great to me. Without wrestling, there’s no way I’d be where I am today. I’d probably own a strip club someplace.

I’m normally not a guy who lets the past define him, but it’s kind of mind-blowing to look back on it; all the people that have helped me along the way, friends and mentors – of course Shawn and H and all of those guys, but also Rick Rude, Mike Rotunda, ‘Taker. It’s really special, and like Frank Sinatra, I did it my way. Not to let the cat out of the bag, but I’m thinking of singing a few bars of that song at my induction. I think that would be sort of perfect.”

Why would he be inducted as Diesel if in 2011 when he returned at Summerslam, he was known as Kevin Nash.

WWE wants to promote their characters, hence why Hall went in as Razor Ramon.

Cody Hall, son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall, seems to be a bit upset that Kevin Nash will be inducted into the Hall this weekend using his actual name.

Happy for Big Kev but why does he get to go in as Nash and my dad had to go in as Razor? Just another reason to not like wwe.

As it was reffered a few posts above, probably (and makes sense) the WWE wants to induct the nWo, and use Scott Hall, Nash and Hogan. So, Scott will have his real name there. What's the big deal?
(plus, didn't Scott Hall use "Razor Ramon" for almost all of his WWE Tenure before he went to WCW? Just like Sargent Slaughter was inducted as "Sargent Slaughter" and not by his real name lol)
