Due April 20th @ 11:59 PM EST

No-Disqualification Match

A No-Disqualification Match is a match where neither wrestler can be disqualified, allowing for weapons and outside interference. The key differences between a No-Disqualification Match and a standard Hardcore Match are that falls must be made in the ring and there is less emphasis on the use of weapons.

Up next for those in attendance at the Dean Smith Center is a match in the Intercontinental Championship tournament, between Dante Cross and Minkaro. The last time that these two men faced, Minkaro came out victorious, but the added stipulation of the match being No Disqualification could alter proceedings drastically, as could the fact that almost two years have passed since the first contest. The referee signals to the timekeeper to toll the bell, and the match is underway. As the match official makes the gesture, he stands between the two men to ensure that they don’t start before the bell has rung. Unfortunately for him, this means that he is in prime position for Dante, who darts forwards and shoves the referee into Minkaro. This does not have a great effect on Minkaro, but does mean that he has to move the referee out of his way, allowing Dante to connect with a running dropkick that sends Minkaro into the ring ropes, his stumble meaning that he ends up having to grab hold of the top rope to keep his balance. Ignoring the remonstration from the referee, Dante returns to a vertical base, and kicks Minkaro sharply in the back of the leg. The force of the kick causes Minkaro to perform a backflip, landing in a heap at the side of the ring. This means that Cross is able to grab hold of the top rope himself, using it as leverage as he places his foot on Minkaro’s side and shoves him out of the ring.

As Minkaro struggles back up to his feet, Dante has already started a sprint to the opposite side of the ring, where he bounces of the ropes to build momentum, before flipping over the top rope to take Minkaro down with a Somersault Plancha. The high-risk move clearly affects Cross as he rises with a hand moving to his back, but any pain is quickly brushed aside as he knows that his chaotic style of attack must continue before Minkaro is able to work out a plan of defence. With this in mind, he grabs hold of Minkaro’s hair, and drags him up to his feet, bouncing him face-first off the side of the ring. The impact of the move does not take Minkaro off his feet, which actually serves The Son of Sin as it means that he can grab the blonde locks of his opponent once more, this time to send him into the steel ringpost with a shove. Minkaro’s face crashes off the metal, and he spins to the ground, landing on his knees on the arena floor, where he attempts to crawl away from the assault. He only makes it a few inches before the sole of Dante Cross’ boot crashes down onto the back of his head, Curbstomping him onto the arena floor. As Cross drags Minkaro to his feet and rolls him back into the ring, he leaves behind a smear of blood, which has dripped from a wound on Minkaro’s forehead that may have been opened by the curbstomp, or even before then by the crash into the ringpost.

Before he joins Minkaro back in the squared circle, Dante pauses momentarily by the side of the ring, ducking down and reaching past the fabric that hangs down to the weapons that lie beneath the ring. As he has not bothered to duck his head down, and as his stay is so swift, he has clearly left something there before the match even began. Sure enough, his hand emerges gripping a Kendo Stick, proving that this match has been going almost perfectly to his plan all along. He slides the stick into the ring, sliding in soon after it, but when he places his hand onto it to pick it up, he finds himself in a tug of war with his opponent. With Dante gripping one end of the stick, Minkaro has hold of the other end, and is glaring at Cross through blood-stained strands of hair. Dante’s eyes widen in shock, Minkaro being able to defend himself at this point wasn’t something that he’d written into his plan, but he soon recovers from the surprise and starts to try to tug the kendo stick away. Both men start this tug of war on their knees, but gradually rise to a vertical base. Eventually, Minkaro is able to pry the weapon from Dante Cross’ grasp, and he raises it as his foe retreats across the ring. Instead of striking Dante with it, he brings it crashing down across his own knee, snapping the weapon in two.

Fuck it, that's as far as I've gotten, I'm not feeling like posting, and I'm going to be too busy tomorrow to write anything, so that's going to have to do.

Dante looks from Minkaro to the broken kendo stick and back again. A look of mild confusion across his face. This is only momentary as he dawns a devilish grin upon his face. The Son of Sin begins to walk along the side of the ring, keeping to the ropes. Minkaro, ever wary of the man, begins to walk alongside the ropes as well, keeping Dante in view. With each sideways pace, the Son of Sin draws ever closer. Then without warning, the Son of Sin drops to the mat and slides out of the ring. Minkaro goes to the ropes and looks down at Dante Cross, who begins to lean against the barricade absentmindedly looking out around him at the fans, oblivious to their jeers. Minkaro is in the ring calling Dante to come back in, but the Son of Sin only smirks up at him. Minkaro, still at the ropes, turns to the referee to get him to bring Cross back into the ring. He turns around to bring his attention back to Dante, only to be taken off his feet and falling face forward into the ropes as the Son of Sin took the moment to rush forward and dropkick Minkaro in the shins. The Lone Wolf instinctively reached for the ropes to pull himself up, but the Son of Sin clawed at his hands with a quick swipe, causing Minkaro to retract his grip. Dante reaches through the ropes and gathers Minkaro's head into his arms and with a slap to the man's back, falls backwards, pulling Minkaro the rest of the way out of the ring and sending his head crashing down into the floor. The Son of Sin pushes the limp body of Minkaro away and gets to his feet to look down at the Lone Wolf lain out at ringside. Cross looks down at his chest and notices the blood of Minkaro smeared across it. He wipes at it with his hand and brings it to his lips, relishing the taste. As if with renewed vigor from the blood of his opponent, Dante dives down onto Minkaro, pulling him roughly to his feet by the hair. Minkaro, bent over, brings his hands out in front of him and pushes Dante forcefully away and sending the Son of Sin stumbling into the side of the ring. Dante halts himself before actually hitting the ring and turns around only to receive a vicious European Uppercut that looks to have took him a few inches off the ground. Cross falls back onto the side of the ring, isn't able to grasp anything with his hand still covered in Minkaro's blood, and ends up on the floor. The Lone Wolf is on the Son of Sin, delivering pummeling stomps to the man's face and body as Dante Cross can only cover up to gain relief from the onslaught. After an uncountable number of kicks to the Son of Sin, Minkaro lets up and backs away, turning to the crowd for a moment, but only to spin on his heels and run back at Dante, sending a hard Big Boot to the face of Cross, forcing Dante's head into the side of the ring. Dante slumps over and blood can be seen dripping onto the floor from the back of his head. Minkaro rolls into the ring and reaches through the ropes to pull Dante back in. The Son of Sin begins to stir, but Minkaro only pulls harder and with one mighty pull, brings Dante into the ring and as the Son of Sin starts to struggle against the hold, Minkaro uses his weight advantage and with Cross' head forced to remain down and Minkaro holding him by the hair, the Lone Wolf takes ahold of Cross in pedigree-form, takes him up and brings him back down hard onto the mat with a Tiger Suplex. The Son of Sin holds his head while Minkaro dives down for the cover. ONE! TWO! Dante gets a shoulder up in time!

The Son of Sin kicks at Minkaro in his attempt to scramble away from the Lone Wolf. Dante hurries to the nearest corner of the ring and still holding his head, looks over at Minkaro, who stares back at him defiantly from the middle of the ring. Dante continues to hold the back of his head and slumps in the corner. Minkaro sees this as an opportunity and rushes forward. The Son of Sin rolls out of the way after Minkaro takes the bait and the Lone Wolf goes shoulder first into the ring post after a missed Spear attempt. Dante scrambles along the mat and reaches for the broken pieces of the kendo stick. Minkaro pulls himself out of the corner and brings himself upright. Before he can turn around, pieces pain strikes in his back. Dante Cross digs the two broken halves of the kendo stick into Minkaro's skin, pulls back, and stabs into the man's back for another go. Minkaro yells out in pain to match the laughs coming from the Son of Sin. The Lone Wolf sends back an Elbow to shut the man up and this sends Dante stumbling back. Cross throws away the remnants of the kendo stick and backs away as Minkaro turns around to face him, revealing the bloody mess of his back to the crowd. Dante brings up his hands and beckons Minkaro forward. The Lone Wolf charges forward and the two men collide in the middle of the ring, locking up immediately. This lasts for a second before Minkaro sends a stiff elbow into the face of the Son of Sin, who returns the gift with an elbow of his own. The two men trade elbow shots in the middle of the ring until Cross' legs begin to waver. Minkaro starts delivering unanswered shots to the face of the Son of Sin until Dante drops back and feints forward with a side kick to the head of Minkaro, who easily ducks it and rises again, only to be hit with an Enzuigiri as Cross delivers the Return to Sin Kick perfectly. It's Minkaro's turn to waver on his feet. Dante takes Minkaro by the shoulders and spins him around before leaping into the air and—he hits The Arockalypse—Minkaro's own move! The Lone Wolf goes down onto the mat and Cross hurries to his feet to get to the ropes. A hand comes out to grab at his leg as Minkaro looks to still have some life in him.
