Shock Till You Drop reports that Paramount Pictures has assigned release dates to three different horror sequels.
Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension has been moved from March 13 to October 23. The new date is more in line with the traditional Halloween release schedule, which has been the most successful for the franchise. It will go against Breck Eisner’s The Last Witch Hunter (starring Vin Diesel), Jon M. Chu’s Jem and the Holograms and an unnamed Warner Bros. horror film.
Rings, the latest entry in The Ring series, will debut on November 13. The film stars Matilda Lutz. It opens against an untitled New Line comedy and Barry Levinson’s crime drama Rock the Kasbah, which stars Shia LaBeouf, Zooey Deschanel, Bruce Willis, Kate Hudson, Bill Murray and Danny McBride.
Friday the 13th has been moved from its November 13 release date all the way to May 13, 2016. It will be the 13th film in the series and will be directed by David Bruckner. It will be up against an untitled comedy from Universal Pictures.
