The third of six “Fantasticamania” events between New Japan Pro Wrestling and the Mexican CMLL promotion kicked off today from the Kyoto KBS Hall in Kyoto, Japan. We will be providing results for each of the shows, with the final 1/18 and 1/19 shows being aired live on the New Japan World streaming network.

Attendance for this event was around 850.

(1) Barbaro Cavernario & YOSHI-HASHI def. KUSHIDA & Yohei Komatsu. Rey Cometa was supposed to be in this match, and in a match on the 1/14 show, so he may have been injured. Cavernario over Komatsu here.

(2) Mr. Niebla & OKUMURA def. Stigma & Angel De Oro

(3) Gedo & Polvora def. Tiger Mask & Mistico. Polvora with the win over Mistico. He took both Tiger and Mistico’s masks after the match was over.

(4) Kazuchika Okada & Mephisto def. Captain New Japan & Stuka Jr. Okada submitted Captain with the Red Ink.

(5) Tetsuya Naito, Ryusuke Taguchi & La Sombra def. Jushin Liger, Triton & Mascara Dorada. Sombra in about 11 minutes with the Shadow Driver on Triton.

(6) Shinsuke Nakamura, Gran Guerrero & Ultimo Guerrero def. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Volador Jr. & Atlantis. Gran pinned Volador with the Guerrero Special.
