| - The Wrestling Observer reports that WWE officials are thinking once again about booking a John Cena vs. Rusev match for WrestleMania 31. Booking plans would see Rusev cost Cena his opportunity to win the world title at the Rumble.
John Cena and Randy Orton vs. Rusev and Seth Rollins is currently being advertised as the main event for WWE’s live event at the Madison Square Garden on February 27. This is viewed as a sign that WWE could be going with its original plan of Cena vs. Rusev at WrestleMania 31.
The two Superstars have not had any interaction on TV. The tag match booking could also merely be a sign that Cena and Rusev is only a program being worked for house show events during WrestleMania season since Brock Lesnar does not work house shows. |

| WWE would have to be idiots, to let Rusev's streak off by Cena beating him. They need to capitalize on something big here. I mean Big Show and Mark Henry are getting old. Once they go, who'll be the dominant big guy? Luke Harper? Eric Rowen? Ryback? No, it's Rusev. So keeping this streak while also beating John Cena would be the best for business. |

| No he'd be a monster heel if the booking was consistent. You can be a monster heel and not be 7' tall. |

| Rusev is a 1D character with a shelf life. Losing his streak to Cena would be for nothing. If he loses might as well be to someone who needs a big win like defeating Rusev's streak. Like Ryback, someone debuting from NXT. Rusev is going as far as he can with his current character, unless he changes it and WWE sticks with it, would picture him losing to the little bull by this time next year. |

| ^And your just a person who doesn't wait it out, before assuming shit. You keep calling him a shelf life, yet Rusev has been in the main roster for 9 months and is still holding his ground. |

| Rusev doesn't seem like he's going to be a main event draw in the modern era.
I think Rusev should get a win or two over big name talent before wrestling John Cena. ____________________ |

Most foreign heels never stick around for a considerably long amount of time before they're either repackaged, demoted, or fired. Look at Vladimir Kozlov. Monster foreign heel, once his undefeated streak ended he plummeted and the last time we saw him he was in a comedy tag team with Santino. |

The only person who had a little bit of a good career as a foreign heel monster was Umaga. But even then Umaga wasn't a world champion, he was a chaser. Rusev be lucky if he had the career like Umaga. |

| YOUMANGA!
And I think it's hard to pull of foreign gimmicks in the current era because no one gives a fuck. The media and internet is so vast now, whereas as decades ago we didn't have access to as much, so gimmicks like that worked. |

| ^^ Tensai wasnt a traditional foreign heel, mainly because everyone remembered him as being A-Train. |

| Rusev's character has an end date. Whomever defeats him. Then most likely he loses his appeal, if he had much to begin with. Cena would be a waste since he is Cena. So give it to someone who needs it. I say Ryback. Dead may say some NXT person, Chilly said he gets Sable bombed. Either way, I see don't see Rusev being any different then most foreign heel. |
