A new Manic Street Preachers documentary is to receive a limited cinema release this month.

No Manifesto will then be released on DVD on February 16. The film follows the band from 2005's 'Past-Present-Future' tour up until the present day.

Manic Street Preachers live review: The Holy Bible in full is worth the wait

A statement released by filmmakers WibblyWobbly productions said: "For the making of No Manifesto, the Manics provided unprecedented access.

"The film tells the story of the band's rise from mouthy punks to international renown, takes a fascinating look at the band's creative process, and joins them on tour.

"By combining footage shot at home and on the road with rare archival materials and fan interviews that provide commentary, lore, criticism and praise, No Manifesto gives a comprehensive look at a most unusual band."

The film will premiere on January 30 and January 31 at Cardiff's Chapter Cinema and Manchester's Cornerhouse Cinema, as well as featuring a four-song concert video from the 'Past-Present-Future' tour and Q&A with the filmmakers.

Q&As will also take place during dates at London's Prince Charles Cinema, Nottingham's Broadway Cinema and London's Curzon Soho on February 2, 3 and 4 respectively.

Manic Street Preachers recently performed a unique series of shows to mark the anniversary of their album The Holy Bible.

Saw them live 3 times last year. Gutted that this is the second time they've had a limited release documentary and I won't get to see this one either Sad
