Looking for Randy Orton to return to WWE? Well, the wait is over.

During a live event at Madison Square Garden (MSG), a Redditor snapped this picture of the Legend Killer delivering a RKO “from out of nowhere!” to Kane.

The image was posted to the r/squaredcircle subreddit on Friday night.

From the looks of things, the WWE seems to be going with a face Orton versus Corporate Kane angle to ease the Viper into its WrestleMania run.

A report from the Inquisitr dated December 16 revealed as much. That report stemmed from wrestling insider Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, who said that Kane would be the guy in lieu of Seth Rollins.

There were market-specific interviews that aired during the Canadian broadcast of the Monday Night Raw telecast that week, during which Kane vowed to get back at Orton for the choices that he had made. This was to lead to house show matches between the two.

Friday night was the first.

It’s easy to see where this is going from a story perspective. Seth Rollins was the guy who “sidelined” Orton with a vicious curb stomp. This led many to believe that he would act as the spoiler for Rollins at TLC in the match against John Cena. As things turned out, it was Roman Reigns who made his return instead.

Now with Randy Orton positioned against Kane, look for a short program in which the Viper prevails, followed by some mixup between him and Seth Rollins before, or at, WrestleMania 31.

What this means to the WWE heavyweight title picture is yet to be seen, but since Rollins currently holds the Money in the Bank contract for a shot anytime and anywhere, it’s not outside the realm of possibility that Orton could factor in significantly to that angle.

WWE has no plans to turn Randy Orton heel any time soon. They’re looking for a long run for Orton as a babyface, as they want to make guys like Rollins and Rusev their top heels.

Also, when Triple H and Stephanie McMahon return, they’ll be top heels, too, so WWE feels it would be better for Randy to be the company’s second or third babyface behind John Cena and Roman Reigns, rather than being the fifth heel behind Rusev, Rollins, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, and possibly Brock Lesnar, if he sticks around after WrestleMania (not likely).
