Specifically in the last 5 games that he's gotten 10+ carries, he's averaging 5.1 ypc: 67 for 343 yards

As the backup and dealing with the train wreck that there's been at QB for the Jets this season.

He's really not that bad. The Jets running game as a whole has been pretty damn solid this year and doesn't get the credit. Whoever has gotten the bulk of the carries each game has done more than fine in that role in nearly every single game.

Damn, I actually made some really great points in this thread. The overall stats and the explosiveness he showed in streaks don't lie. CJ didn't suck, he was just under-utilized as a backup and only did worse than expectations that were simply set too high for him at this stage in his career (especially when he was put in a backup role through almost the entire season).

CJ Spiller will be better as more of a 1-2 punch (being the feature back) than a backup.

One 100+ yard game all season along? Lol okay, he's good.

Cause 8-9 (or more) ypc in order to get a 100+ yard game with the # of carries he got is easy?

Now, he had his down games... but most of those were when he got like 6 carries. There's no way he was a detriment to the Jets offense or "sucked."

He was in a committee, if he were an all downs back and a workhorse, he'd be in trouble. He's trash.

It's really the opposite but ok

The opposite? Hand him the ball 20 times a game, week in and weak out. And let's see how much production he has.
