- The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that there are preliminary discussions for a possible match between Triple H and The Rock at WrestleMania 31 next year. Earlier this week, WWE taped a backstage segment this week that will air this Friday on Smackdown featuring Triple H and The Rock in celebration of the show’s 15th anniversary.

In addition, WWE is reportedly planning spots for one special guests, namely Sting. The Undertaker has apparently not ruled out “one more match,” but he reportedly has not committed to one either. Besides The Undertaker, one other name Sting mentioned he was interested in facing was Triple H.

As previously reported, the current plan is for a main event between Brock Lesnar against Roman Reigns. Another match being looked at is John Cena vs. Rusev.

The Rock vs. Triple H sounds like a strange choice for the event. This is considering how many times the two have faced each other in the past and possibly planning around a showcase match for Sting for the show.

They can't be stupid enough to go with Cena and Rusev at Wrestlemania. They don't really think the crowd will cheer for Cena, do they? Do they really want anti-america Rusev getting cheers at WrestleMania?

Anyways, it will be a very bad idea to have Rusev vs. Cena. For 1 you will waste ending his never been pin or made to submit record on someone who doesn't need it. Someone like Ryback would need it to restart his push or someone from NXT to start their push off strong. 2 Like Ian said People will cheer for the anti-america because how much they hate Cena. It is a lose lose for everyone...well maybe not Cena.

I am all for Ryback/Rusev. I am all for Cena/Rusev, for that matter, but at Mania with the smarky crowd it's just terrible planning.

most of them aren't that smarky. Yeah they will boo Cena, but that is just because it is the cool thing to do with most fans. If anything fans will cheer for anything at WM. Like my idea goes, have the match last a few seconds so it doesn't become overwhelming and the indy smarks start getting everyone to boo.
