Requesting an extension: Both Razor and I fell into some circumstances that delayed us being able to start on our posts. His were work related, and in my case, I was out for a few hours longer than I intended to be today. Just need to be able to work on it later in the evening tomorrow, since I probably won't have quite enough time after I first get off work to get my post finished otherwise.

(And after all that, Razor and I ended up agreeing on a promo match, so here's what I got. I'll come back and add in commentary tomorrow. After I've had a good night's sleep, so that I don't feel like I'm going to throw up everything from my chest down. >_<)
The bell rings to kick off the first ever exhibition between these two ring veterans; Rob and Razor stand poised in opposite corners of the ring. Chapman seems unusually overconfident as he sizes up his opponent, cracking his knuckles and neck. Razor, on the other hand, looks purely vindictive. Radiating with spite after his opponent's insults earlier this evening. The two waste no time in advancing on one another, meeting in the center of the ring and preparing to go for a tie-up... until Razor goes low, throwing an uppercut right between Chapman's legs with a Low Blow! Acting quickly, the "Straight Edge Outlaw" closes his legs together, shutting down Razor's illegal attack! He follows up quickly, grabbing a hold of Razor's arm and giving it a yank as he parts his legs, followed immediately by a savage kick to the face! RX almost goes straight down, but Chapman gives his arm another yank to keep him on his knees. Speaking of knees, that's exactly what "The Savior" eats next; as Rob's other arm comes forward to wrap around Razor's neck with a front headlock, the XWA veteran is introduced face-first to both of Rob's knees in quick succession! Finishing the onslaught, Rob lifts the now-groggy Californian to his feet. With his head locked and his arm barred, RX is in perfect position for Chapman's next maneuver, as the Nova Scotian throws himself backwards, flipping his opponent clean over his head with a Hatch Suplex!
Razor lands hard on his back, skidding slightly across the canvas as Chapman pushes himself back to his feet and heads straight towards the ropes adjacent to his opponent. Bounding back, Chapman leaves his feet, folding his legs beneath him as he attempts to crush the Californian's larynx with a well-placed Leg Drop, but sadly, it's not as well timed; Razor quickly rolls to the side, letting his opponent land on his tailbone. The jarring shock allows RX just enough time to get to his feet and dash at the rising Intercontinental Champion; As quick as Rob's up, he's goes back down by means of a hard Calf Kick! Both men are up quickly, with one being decidedly more aware than the other. As Rob stumbles to his feet in a daze, he walks straight into a second Calf Kick executed by "The Rated Y2X Superstar". It connects to the same effect as the first, clocking Rob in the jaw and taking out his center of gravity hard enough to knock him down onto his back. This time, Chapman rises even more quickly, seemingly frustrated as he slaps his hands on the canvas and dashes at Razor, attempting to take him down with a clothesline. The Californian has his opponent scouted and steps to the side, catching his arm and spinning around him, luring him into perfect position for a Neckbreaker! Rather than immediately drop, however, Razor simply holds him like this- arms entangled and spine arched unpleasantly- as if to mock him. He begins to pull back on Rob's neck, turning the move into a... submission hold? A reverse Cravate? Not quite a straightjacket choke, but.... it's something. As the referee clues in and moves to check on Chapman, RX uses the opportunity while the ref's eyes are up high to swing his leg backwards, driving his heel straight into a very painful section of Chapman's anatomy! Just as Rob lets out a near-breathless grunt of surprised pain, Razor drops to the canvas, slamming his opponent's neck into his shoulder off of a modified Arm-Trap Neckbreaker! Rob's body snaps forward violently before falling back, where he's immediately covered by Razor in a pinning attempt.
The official drops to make the count, but Rob gets his shoulder up at an early count of one, thwarting Razor's scheme. Rising to his feet, Razor watches as "The Artistic Anomaly" slowly sits up. Snarling vinditictively, the Californian charges forward and clobbers his opponent's face with a stiff running boot, taking the Champion right back down. Then, it's off in another run as Razor charges into the far ropes. As he bounds back, "XWA's Greatest of All Time" throws himself at his opponent in an Elbow Drop, only for the point of the bone to strike canvas, causing RXto jerk his arm away from the mat in surprise, rising quickly as he attempts to shake it out. With a grumble, the War Machine braces himself up on one hand. The other cradles his neck as he grimaces at his staggering foe. Getting into a prepared stance, Rob catches Razor by his outstretched arm as he continues to try and shake the pain out, snapping to the side and taking him down with a beautiful Arm Drag! Razor hits the canvas and rolls quickly back to his feet. Like Chapman before him, the Californian mistakenly walks into another Arm Drag by his adversary. As Razor is slammed to the ground, he's considerably slower getting to his feet the second time. As he advances toward his opponent, he raises an arm with the intention of swinging for the fences, but Chapman charges forward to meet him, wrapping an arm around his neck to secure a tight Side Headlock. Razor struggles against the larger man, but ultimately finds himself doubled over as his opponent cranks repeatedly on his neck. He attempts to pry Chapman's hands apart, but it's to no avail. Rather than panic, the veteran Razor simply moves onto a new strategy, and begins using his entire body weight to push Chapman towards the nearest set of ropes, hoping to build some momentum as they rebound off of the ropes. As the Intercontinental Champion comes into contact with those steel coils, he's pushed deeper into them before being slingshotted back towards the center of the ring. But rather than let go of Razor and allow himself to be whipped across the ring, Chapman shows equal instinct and immediately leaves his feet, driving the head and face of his opponent into the canvas with a well-placed Bulldog!
With Razor down, Rob quickly rolls him onto his back and hooks his leg to secure a Lateral Press, but The Highest Level kicks out at a count of one. Pushing himself back up quickly, Chapman utterly stuns Razor by leaving his feet again, catapulting himself into a beautiful backflip as he lands belly-to-belly across his opponent again with a Standing Shooting Star Press! Another hook of the leg leads to another count from the official! "One! Tw-!" No! Kickout just before two! Razor's shoulder flies high off of the canvas! LionHeart lets out a particularly primal growl as he bounds to his feet in a hurry and begins to lift Razor up by his head. "Yeah, I thought it might go down like this." Chapman goads, lifting RX up to all fours and then rising to a fully erect base. Everyone knows what's coming as Chapman takes off into the far ropes. The War Sniper takes aim as he ricochets back at high velocity; as his foot comes up in a Yakuza Kick, he lets loose a roar of old with a simple "BOOM!"
... but the "Headshot" never comes, as Razor rolls out of the way of Chapman's extended foot and rises to his feet. With blistering speed, RX rips back across the ring toward his opponent, stepping up off of his knee whilst swinging his other foot wild, looking for an Enzuigiri to take Rob's head off instead! But like Razor before him, the ring-savvy Chapman manages to duck beneath it, causing Razor to miss and land on all fours in front of him. Not wanting to allow Razor any opportunity to recover, the Straight Edge Outlaw throws himself at Razor, bringing his hands together in a savage club that hammers his opponent's back, almost knocking RX down to his chest. Rob is back up quickly, wrapping both arms around the mid-section of his opponent, hauling the Californian back to his feet in a rear waistlock! With a mighty heave, Chapman throws his and Razor's weight backwards, attempting to crush the Rated Y2X Superstar with a German Suplex! Like Chapman, however, Razor also throws his weight backwards- straight into a back flip, as a matter of fact- and lands on both feet behind the Champion! Rob whips around in a hurry, only to be met by both of Razor's feet kicking him in the chest! RX delivers a beautiful Dropkick, causing Chapman to stumble backwards into the ropes! As he reaches them, Rob appears to fall through the middle rope, only to bound right back up, like the swing of a pendulum as he charges at Razor for a clothes- GASP
With a hand wrapped firmly around his opponent's throat, Razor begins to deliver brutal knees to Chapman's mid-section! The Californian roars with anger as he sweeps his opponent's leg, taking him down to the canvas with a modified STO, continuing to choke the life out of him! "So I'm a mediocre wrestler, huh?! I'M A FUCKING DANNY DIAMOND CLONE? News flash, SHITHEAD! I CAME FIRST! Your long-haired fuckbuddy's nothing but an imitation of the Rated Y2X Superstar, and you're NOTHING but his fucking SHADOW!" Razor's rant is drenched upon by a sea of hateful jeers!
Razor continues to blatantly choke the life out of the slowly-fading Chapman, as the referee counts in the background for him to let go of it. Somewhere during his rant, the five count is reached, and the bell rings to signify the end of the match. Callously, Razor continues choking his opponent until the referee has to practically pull him off of the coughing Canadian combatant. RX immediately slides out of the ring as Chapman's music hits the P.A. system. Despite Chapman technically being the 'victor', there are very few, if any cheering in the arena at the moment. A potentially classic match, ruined.
Laura Watts "Ladies and gentlemen, the referee has called a stop to this match, declaring the winner by disqualification: Rob Chapman!"
Chapman's theme music is short lived as Razor returns to the ring with a steel chair grasped firmly in one hand. The referee attempts to stop him, only to be shoved aside thoughtlessly as Razor lays into Chapman with sickening stomps to the head. Reaching down, he unfolds the chair part-way, and begins to lay it over the throat of his opponent, folding it shut and turning his sights toward the top rope. The crowd greets Razor with another shower of intense boos, bringing a sadistic smile to the face of the Californian. As Razor taunts the already-incensed crowd, pouting and making playful 'tear wiping' motions with his hands, the crowd suddenly erupts in cheers...
...as Danny Diamond makes his way out from the back at a dead run, clad in blue jeans and a pink v-neck t-shirt! Not exactly the pinnacle of threatening. The steel pipe he's holding, on the other hand... is enough to prompt Razor to dismount the turnbuckle and drop to the apron, and then to the floor as he makes his way over the barricade and into the sea of jeering fans. Giving Danny a friendly wave goodbye and a smile as the Englishman hits the ring, where he checks on his friend, coming to. The camera shifts to Razor, continuing to make idle comments towards Danny and his title.
Vendetta cuts to a commercial break.
