The finish to CM Punk and Brock Lesnars' SummerSlam match was changed just days before the event, reports The Wrestling Observer. The reason for the change might be due to The Undertaker agreeing to work Lesnar at next year's WrestleMania in New Orleans.

Lesnar's contract is said to include three pay per view matches per year, including WrestleMania, meaning he's likely done until next year's mega-event in New Orleans (he's worked Mania 29, Extreme Rules, and now SummerSlam). However, even with the extended time off between SummerSlam and Mania next year, WWE officials didn't want him heading into that high-profiled match with Taker holding a 2-3 record (since his return).

While Taker/Lesnar isn't confirmed for WrestleMania 30, it's looking more and more likely each month.

They'll probably place him in TLC, maybe? If they don't him to head to WM with a 2-3 record.

Brock Lesnar is a waste of money. Sure, he's talented but he won't do anything but put on big matches because he just wants fame. Say what you want about him proving himself in his first run, but it's just a waste to have Lesnar appear 3 times a year when you could have 2 or 3 solid workers in on what they're paying him.

Yeah, I know a lot of people irl that watch shows simply cause Lesnar is on em. He needs to return full time, though. His popularity as a part timer isn't going to last forever. Just like The Rock.

No, the article says they didn't want him GOING into Mania at 2-3 so they changed the SummerSlam result to him winning. It never stated that was the number he was at.

Lesnar vs. Taker should be great. I'm not overly excited for it, since it isn't like this'll be the first time they face each other (and they were both in their prime the other times), but being as though it'll be their first WM match, it should be great.
