According to The Wrestling Observer, Bobby Lashley’s Bellator MMA fight against Josh Burns is the reason why TNA did not promote a Bound For Glory TNA World Title match when the PPV announcement was made.

The feeling backstage in TNA is the company shouldn’t heavily push a TNA World Title match for its biggest PPV event of the year until the result of Lashley vs Burns was known. Had Lashley lost his MMA bout, the plan in TNA was to take the title off Lashley and go in a different direction for Bound for Glory.
