We previously reported that WWE released Alan Rebhun, the Vice President of Venue Merchandising and Operations, for problems with vendors at Wrestlemania 30, which he was in charge of.
The report of the vending company going broke is largely inaccurate, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, and the company didn’t actually lose as much money as was reported. Merchandise sales at Wrestlemania XXX surpassed projections by $300,000, and was only $100,000 from being the largest in WWE history. The Wrestlemania XXX Superstore actually brought in $1.4 million in four days, and the shortage of money was in reference to a theft at the store.
Rebhun was told he was being let go for financial reasons, not because of any wrongdoing on his part.
