According to PWInsider.com, former WWE announcer Matt Striker has signed on to be the lead announcer of “Lucha Underground” alongside Vampiro.

With regards to media surrounding the new show, Lucha Underground producers have been telling talents to keep very quiet about project details, partially because they’re upset with some of the contractual reports which have been released lately, and because they want all media hype surrounding the project to be focused on the 10/8 TV debut on El Rey Network.

As we previously noted, Chavo Guerrero has either already signed or will be signing a deal with the project, and all signs are pointing towards John Morrison joining the roster as well.

With regards to talent on the show, it’s being said all contracted names will have new characters for the show, so don’t expect any known names to come in with the gimmicks they used on the indy scene or in other promotions.

Top indy talent Ricochet will be one of the top pushed stars of the promotion.
