Free-to-air channel wins high-profile rights.
Channel 4 has nabbed the rights to small-screen superhero series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D in the UK.
According to Screen International, the free-to-air channel beat off stiff competition from Sky to bag the high-profile show.
Produced by Marvel’s TV arm, ABC Studios and Mutant Enemy, the show is a spin-off from Marvel’s Avengers Assemble movie, and revolves around Agent Phil Coulson’s Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division.
There’s no word yet as to when it will air in the UK.
