Now for some good news for a change amongst all of the recent internet wrestling spin involving TNA Wrestling. TNA Impact Wrestling is gaining some serious viewers in Italy. Current viewership trends show that Impact Wrestling airing on Nuvolari TV, a Free-To-Air-SAT sports channel in the country is climbing towards the 200,000 viewer mark. Numbers that are remarkably close to TNA’s most coveted foreign market, The United Kingdom.
Most recently, Impact Wrestling scored 187,000 viewers and gained just over 1% overall market share in Italy for a Friday night and has easily taken the crown as their highest rated regular programming on the network. This is a very very rapid increase in viewers from just a few months ago when Nuvolari TV announced Impact Wrestling will air on the network. Impact Wrestling debuted on Nuvolari TV at a meager 70,000 viewers in April. Numbers indicate that by the end of July, just 3 months later Impact Wrestling on the network has more than doubled it’s viewership.
There have been one or two low fluctuations for Impact on Nuvolari TV, however Impact Wrestling continues to be one of Nuvolari TV’s strongest shows. Viewership totals for networks have shown that Nuvolari TV rarely surpasses the 1 million viewer mark for combined weekly views unless a major sporting event is airing. This indicates Impact Wrestling airing on Friday’s alone brings somewhere around the 15% of the overall viewers for the network.
