| * Robbie E spoke with NJ.com to promote his stint on the upcoming season of The Amazing Race, which premieres September 26th on CBS. Regarding his experience, Robbie said: "It did involve fitness but some things involved patience. Some things involved intelligence. I wanted to give up, everyone does. * Spike TV officials will be at the TNA New York tapings this week as both parties are still negotiating the terms on a new deal. Other networks have reportedly shown interest and are meeting with TNA as well. The feeling, internally, is that TNA can offer any network over a million viewers each week, so the future of the company doesn't look as bleak as many have suggested.
* One Night Only: World Cup 2014 premieres September 5th on pay-per-view. Taped last April, the event features four teams of five wrestlers competing in a series of matches for points to win a trophy. The captains for each team are Kurt Angle, Bobby Roode, Eric Young and EC3.
* TNA has declared August 7th "National Put Your Boss Through A Table Day". Between now and Thursday, fans are encouraged to share photos or video on social media, explaining why their boss deserves to go through a table. * Wrestle-1 star Yasufumi Nakanoue is interested in working an extended TNA run at some point in the future. He told Slam Sports: "I don't know the specifics, but the relationship with TNA will be ongoing and it's ultimately the W-1 office's decision on whether or not I'll be working there. * Vince Russo issued an official statement regarding his situation with TNA and Spike TV. In the article, Russo claims that he was hired by John Gaburick as a creative consultant last October, and that Spike knew about his involvement with TNA for six months. |
