WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboat has reportedly been let go from the company due to budget cuts. Steamboat had worked as a coach in NXT and apparently was working at the WWE offices in Talent Relations under Triple H recently.

Steamboat will be doing several conventions and non-WWE interview DVD's in the coming months, which is usually a sign that you're no longer under contract to the company. Steamboat was doing promotional work for WWE in Malaysia this past May.

He's a HOFer who was actually doing shit and they let him go..

Why not release superstars WWE doesn't use at all?

David Otunga is still employed because of where he went to school and who he's getting married to/or is already married too. He can be their PR guy or whatever.

And wasn't Ricky Dragon's son in developmental at one point in time, whatever happened to him?

I think he got badly injured.

Ah damn sucks to hear that if that was the case. I like seeing the second-generation/third-generation superstars try and do their thing. Sometimes works out and sometimes doesn't.
