M6 | Danny Diamond vs. Jakeb Steel Empty
PostSubject: Re: M6 | Danny Diamond vs. Jakeb Steel   M6 | Danny Diamond vs. Jakeb Steel EmptyThu May 29, 2014 4:47 am

(Introductions)

XWA Vendetta returns from a commercial, viewing the live audience in attendance in a frenzy. Immediately, the arena goes dark. Purple strobe lights flash across the rafters as "World So Cold" by Three Days Grace his the PA system. A cloud of smoke forms over the stage, setting things up for Jakeb Steel to make his appearance. Sandy Walkins is the first to walk out, raising her "Jakeb Doll" in the air to a chorus of boos. Following her is the white face-painted Jakeb Steel emerging in a hooded black cloak that covered him from top to bottom. With a hood over his head, Steel stands on stage with his head lowered, waiting for his name to be announced.

Laura Watts: "The following contest is schedule for ONE fall! Introducing first, being accompanied by Sandy Walkins, from Atlanta, Georgia, weighing in at 240 pounds. He is one half of Dark Atlas! JAKEB! STEEEEEEEEEEL!"

In a burst of momentum, Steel strips off the hood and extends his arms out, letting off a proverbial wolf cry to the audience. "AWOOOOOOOOOO!" He makes his way down the ramp and slides into the ring, climbing up onto the turnbuckle. He glances around the audience, savoring the view, before extending his arms out one last time, letting off a loud cry to the audience. He then hops back into the middle of the ring to prepare for the match, taking off his cloak.

Laura Watts: "And his opponent .... "

All it takes is for the opening to Fort Minor's "Petrified" instrumental to make the audience jump out of their seats in cheers. Unlike the white fog used for Steel, gold fog now covers the stage as a figure is seen walking through this foggy area. When the beat kicks in fully, he pops out with a sudden burst to reveal himself as Danny Diamond. With a grin on his face, Danny begins his march to the ring.

Laura Watts: "From Cheshire, England, weighing in at 213 pounds, he is the PRIZED GEM of XWA! DANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNY! DIAMONNNNNNNNNNNNNNND"

Bathing in the cheers from his beloved fans, Danny jogs up the steel steps that lay leaned up against one of the steel posts that helps hold the foundation of the ring ropes. Using the method of one foot first through the middle and top rope, Danny hops inside the so-called squared circle. Upon entering the ring, Danny leaps onto the nearest middle turnbuckle and stares a hole through Jakeb Steel on the opposite side. He points both middle and index fingers to the sides of his head as if he was shooting himself with two guns, indicating that Steel is already a dead man before the match began.

DING DING DING!

================

The crowd comes alive at the sound of the bell, anticipating a hellacious bout between the two in-ring competitors. Jakeb Steel and Danny Diamond keep it traditional and collide mid-ring in an elbow collar tie-up, both sides jockeying for position. Steel manages to ring Danny's arm into an armbar, utilizing his obvious strength advantage to bring Danny to his knees. As quick as lightning, Diamond rolls onto the mat, loosening the pressure on his arm, and reverses the pressure back on Steel. An arrogant smile beams on Diamond's face over the reversal, but it quickly diminishes after a HARD knife-edge chop to his chest by Steel!! "WOOOOOOOO!" the crowd responds in accordance to the chop, paying homage to the Nature Boy, Ric Flair. Shaking off the chop, Diamond keeps the armbar locked in and retaliates with a knife-edge chop of his own, leading to a back-and-forth battle of chops between both men, echoing thuds off each other's sternums! Eventually, the chops force Diamond to break his hold, allowing Steel to capitalize with a headlock takedown that slams Diamond to the canvas. While in the headlock, Diamond pivots his body and rolls Steel's shoulders on the mat for a quick pin. [1-2-] Steel simply pivots his body back over into a grounded headlock to avert the pinfall attempt. Enduring the hold for a few seconds, Danny uses his legs to grapevine the head of Steel and free himself, only for Steel to kip up out of the grapevine just seconds later. Many hardcore fans have seen this traditional stand-off play out before and, usually, it ends with both wrestlers meeting face-to-face in fighting stances. As a twist, this particular stand-off ends with Steel being greeted with a slap to his face by Danny Diamond; a deliberate act of disrespect on the Rubix Cube's part.

The audience reacts with an arena wide, "Oooooooooo!" following the slap and also a round of applause for the back and forth opening.

Ted Cedar: "Whoa! That slap woke up the crowd up, and I'm sure it lit Jakeb up as well. Danny Diamond nicely telegraphed that stand-off, as if he was anticipating it before it happened."

Joey Miles: "Well fuck, he probably did that same crappy sequence ten thousands times before this match. If I was Danny, I would have kicked Jakeb in the fucking nuts to further prove a point."

Ted Cedar: "We knew going into this match that Danny Diamond would have the speed advantage. He thinks as quick as he moves and Steel might be wise to not combat him in that aspect."

A close up camera shot shows Jakeb visibly angered by the slap, grinding his teeth and seething in rage. The pace quickens as Steel lunges at Danny Diamond with a clothesline, who ducks it and races at the ropes. Diamond bounces back, looking for a running dropkick, but instead gets bulldozed by a flying shoulder tackle from Steel! Steel then decides to hit the ropes afterwards and, to his surprise, returns to Danny Diamond kipping up and leaping into the air, executing a standing hurricanrana on Steel that flips him onto the mat!! With his equilibrium off balance, Steel stumbles up to his feet and falls against the turnbuckle to catch a breather. Sadly, Diamond has other plans, as he cartwheels his way over to Steel's corner and hits the air with a flying leg lariat he calls the Towering Inferno. However, Steel catches the kick midway in a crafty fashion and lifts Double D into a seated position on his shoulders before falling backwards, driving him head-first on the top post with an alley-oop reverse powerbomb!! The Prized Gem momentarily becomes a lifeless doll on the top turnbuckle, his arms hanging to outside and his body laying limp. As Danny starts to come to, Steel greets him with a sizzling running yakuza kick to his head, knocking him off the turnbuckle to the outside! Jakeb lets his leg hang over the top rope while he watches his opponent tumble down onto outside concrete like a sack of bricks. Danny lays on the hard pavement for a good minute to regain his bearings; all the while, his white face-painted opponent looms over him inside the ring. Watching Double D crawl back to a footed bases, Steel grabs a hold of the top rope and launches himself to the outside with a over-the-top plancha. Calculating this seconds before it happened, Danny quickly slides into the ring as Steel came down and hits the ropes on the opposite side, rebounding back for a suicide dive through the ropes. As luck would have it, Steel lands from the plancha with cat-like reflexes on the outside and quickly executes a back-flip just as Danny's head popped through the ropes. All eyes then witness the boot of Jakeb Steel crack the skull of Danny Diamond with his EXILED pele kick and knock him unconscious in-between the ropes!!

The live audience could not help but gasp in unison at the amazing pele kick counter by Jakeb Steel, despite Danny Diamond being the odds-on-favorite to win this contest.

Ted Cedar: "OH WOW! Exiled pele kick! Right on the money!"

Joey: "FUCK ME! That was fucking sweet! Hashtag, bitch got knocked the fuck out, is now trending on twitter."

Ted Cedar: "It looked like Danny Diamond had Jakeb Steel scouted there for a second, but Steel calculated that suicide dive perfectly and countered with that well placed kick. Things are picking up now XWA fans!"

"JAKEB! JAKEB! JAKEB!" chants Sandy Walkins in support of her ally, watching from afar near the announcer's table. Time is money to Jakeb Steel who looks to quickly capitalize on the pele kick. He hops onto the apron and hooks the unconscious Danny Diamond's head in a front facelock, applying pressure to keep his British opponent stationed on the ropes. He looks sides to side to scout the area around him for moving room and then spins down, driving Danny Diamond neck-first onto the hardest part of the ring with a rope hung swinging neckbreaker! The audience members in the front row cringe at the revolting sound of human bone hitting apron, courtesy of man known as The Anomaly. Any normal wrestler would go for the pin after the series of events, which is exactly what Jakeb Steel does pushing Diamond back into the ring and hooking the legs. [1-2-] Danny kicks his shoulder off the mat before the third count to the pleasure of the live crowd. Jakeb makes Diamond pay for his determination with a series of hard knees dropped on his legs, hoping to hinder any future high flying offensive moves. The cries of pain produced by Danny can be heard throughout the arena, even from backstage. With "The Shine" at his mercy, Jakeb wraps of his opponent's leg around his right leg in a figure four like fashion and stands, having Danny squirm like a fish caught on a hook. With all efforts to escape failing, Steel then falls forward and rains down vicious, merciless elbow drops on Danny Diamond's face, momentarily stunning him on the mat. He then turns on his stomach, turning Danny over as well, and applies a modified indian deathlock submission hold in the center of the ring, sending Danny screaming in pain!

"Danny! Danny! Danny!" chants now begin to emerge from the live crowd here in Columbia, who is firmly behind the Prized Gem in this fight.

Ted Cedar: "Jakeb Steel takes control the pace and targets those legs with a textbook indian death lock. A sound strategy on his part, knowing full well Danny Diamond's offensive consist heavily of high-flying moves."

Joey Miles: "I fail to see how making the match more boring will do fuck all. Pick this shit up!"

Ted Cedar: "Just because Jakeb Steel has slowed down the pace does not mean the match is boring, Joey. Steel is isolating Danny's legs so he can take away his leverage to fly and keep him grounded. This way, he'll stand a better chance of winning. Get it?"

Joey Miles: "Oh ... well uhh, no fucking shit!! I knew that. Y-yeah. I was just testing to see if you knew that, mister play-by-play analyst. So yeah, Danny can't fly around like Tinkerbell anymore, so he's fucked right in the down under."

Ted Cedar: "Right, I'm sure you knew all along partner ... "

The referee hovers around Danny Diamond, asking him if he wanted to submit. Double D chooses to fight the pain instead and begins crawling towards the ropes for a rope break. There is an instant where the pain removes DD from reality and makes him consider tapping, shown by him raising his hand to tap, but it was only for a second as he resumes his journey to the ropes. Eventually, he reaches the ropes to acquire a rope break, yet Jakeb decides not to relinquish the hold until the fourth referee count. [One-Two-Three-Four-] Breaking the hold, Steel rises and shows his face-painted melting away from the sweat on his face, almost revealing his true complexion. Keeping the pace slow to his liking, Steel brings DD to his feet in a front chancery and quickly drops him back down with a snap suplex, placing him perpendicular to the turnbuckle. Measuring the distance, Jakeb heads to the turnbuckle and lets out a wolf-like, "AWOOOOOOOOOOOO!" to the audience. The crowd responds with jeers, disapproving of Steel's dominance, which has zero affect on The Anomaly as he climbs to the second post. Then in one fell swoop, Steel springboards to the top post off the second post and executes a gorgeous EVIL RAIN moonsault into the air. Sadly as the saying goes, he got "nothing BUT air" as Diamond rolls out of the way and has Steel eat the canvas hard!! It's now or never for the Prized Gem. As soon as Jakeb crashed and burned from his failed BME attempt, Diamind quickly hops on him and digs his knee in his opponent's back, locking in his patented variation of the crossface called The Silencer! To eliminate a rope break, Diamond then cunningly rolls his entire body backwards, taking Steel with him, and placing both men mid-ring with the hold still locked in!!

Columbus erupts in an ovation of cheers when Danny Diamond applies the Silencer. The sight of the submission gives them hope that The Rubix Cube could pull out a victory.

Ted Cedar: "There it is! The Silencer! Danny Diamond managed to pull that submission out of his bag of tricks. You know things have gotten serious when we see rare moves like that."

Joey Miles: "All it says to me is the fucker is desperate cause he knows he's about to lose! You're only delaying the inevitable you annoying fuck. I hope your wife dumps your ass and gets with someone more handsome. Like, well, me! Haha!"

Ted Cedar: "We're getting down to the wire here, ladies and gentlemen. Will Jakeb tap out?? Or will this hellacious bout continue?"

Sandy Walkins can be seen on the outside biting her nails in fear of Jakeb Steel submitting to the fan favorite. Things do not look good so far, as Jakeb cries in agony and reaches out toward the ropes, which are way too far of a distance to grab. With that option eliminated, Steel resorts to plan B which is simply to pry Danny's hands apart using his strength. To the shock of the thousands in attendance and millions watching at home, Steel literally does just that -- unlacing the tight grip of Danny with his raw power!! The eyes of Double D widen in bewilderment while he watches Steel rise to a standing position and dead lift Danny up with him. Unexpectedly, Danny uses to the lift to launch into the air and nail Steel with a dropkick, using his own strength against him! The unintentional assist send Jakeb stumbling backwards into the turnbuckle, but little damage is done. Steel sees Diamond approaching and swings for a clothesline, only to miss and unintentionally spin into a belly-to-back waist-lock by Diamond. Before Jakeb knew it, Danny rolls backwards with Steel and slams him neck-first to the mat with his patented Black Rose rolling german suplex!! Then as a cherry on top, Diamond quickly sprints to the ropes and springboards off with a lionsault, splashing him for the pin. [1-2-] KICKOUT! Jakeb throws shoulder off the mat, barely before third count. Danny sits up in frustration, feeling the victory slipping through his fingers. With most of his options exhausted, it could indeed be time for Danny to pull out the big gun. Knowing what he must do, he stands to his feet and slaps his right leg, calling for his ultimate finisher.

A large rumble of feet stomping the in the ground echoes across the arena, as the crowd rallies for the upcoming finisher known as the Sudden Death.

Joey Miles: "Oh shit, don't tell me he's going for that pussy ass kick."

Ted Cedar: "Indeed, he is. This live crowd senses it, and so do we. Danny Diamond call for his Sudden Death Superkick. If he hits that, then I'm sure it will be lights out for one half of Dark Atlas."

Danny Diamond mentally places an imaginary target on the throat of Jakeb Steel while he regains his footing, hoping to end it all in one attempt. Once Jakeb had reached a footed bases, Diamond lunges forward with his leg extend out, aiming for his throat. The worst case scenario happens, to Diamond's dismay, as Jakeb ducks the superkick and trips Danny to the mat with a leg sweep. Before DD realized what happened, Jakeb spins around and hits a standing moonsault, splashing down on top of Danny for the pin!! [1-2-] Out of instinct, Diamond gets the shoulder up just before the third count. Rage boils over in Steel who growls like a lion in frustration, not being able to put Diamond down. Fans can visually to see the match take its toll on the competitors simply by watching Jakeb Steel struggle to stand up. Watching Danny stand with him, Steel races at the ropes to build steam for his next move. Unbeknownst to him, Danny follows behind him and only realize it when he turns to hit the ropes, watching both Diamond's knee plow into his face with a RECONSTRUCTION double knee strike! A dazed Steel can do nothing but watch Danny Diamond hook his arms into a butterfly lock, lift his legs into the air, and pile-drive him head-first on the canvas with a tiger driver 98' he calls SMELL OF DEATH! Excitement fills the air as Danny covers Jakeb Steel for the win. [1-2-] KICKOUT! Danny gets yet another near fall on Jakeb Steel, unable to put his adversary away.

A sea of groans echo across the live audience, watching Danny Diamond once again fail to pick up the win. "This is awesome!" chants follow suit.

Joey Miles: "Holy shit, now that's more like it. I didn't pay to see you guys grapple like two men in a gay porn. Kill each other for fuck's sake!"

Ted Cedar: "What a grueling match this is turning out to be! Neither one of these gladiators are willing to stay down for the three count. Something has to give eventually. Only one person can walk out with the victory."

Both men are slow to reach their feet but, like Ted Cedar just noted, neither one's pride is willing to take a loss in this contest. The cameras show Jakeb Steel's face-paint completely disintegrated by this point, further illustrating the toll this match has taken on both wrestlers. After Diamond and Steel reach a standing base, instead of trading blows, they literally connect forehead-to-forehead and glare into each other's eyes, building the tension around them to a boiling point. Suddenly, similar to fireworks, both men explode into a flurry of rights and pummel the hell out of  each other! Steel gains the advantage, hitting Diamond with a rapid series of punches that stuns him like a drunken man on his feet. Steel then rebounds off the ropes behind him to follow up, but instead runs smack into a spinning discus lariat by Diamond, knocking him to the mat for one more pin attempt!! [1-2-] NO! The fighting spirit of Jakeb Steel lives on, throwing his shoulder before the third count. Maintaining a fast pace, Diamond drags an almost sleep-induced Steel to a standing position and hops back, looking for one last shot at his Sudden Death kick. Disappointingly, as he lunged forward to connect a kick, yet again Steel catches his leg in the arms and uses every ounce of his strength left to bend backwards, slamming Danny behind him with a leg trap belly-to-belly suplex!! Following the suplex, Steel receives a burst of adrenaline and stumbles over to the opposite corner of where Danny Diamond is seen crawling towards. At the moment Danny pulls himself to up, Steel races forward to deliver one last good Yakuza kick. Alas, it would in fact be his last. BOOM! Jakeb runs right into Danny Diamond's unforgiving superkick, crushing his larynx and echoing a proverbial shot across the arena!!

Immediately, Columbus erupts from the superkick finisher!

Ted Cedar: "OH! SUDDEN DEATH! HE STRUCK IT! DANNY HIT IT!"

Joey Fuck: "NO! FUCK. The British bastard's going to win this whole damn thing after all!"

Jakeb remained standing after the kick, but he is clearly out of it. In Danny's mind, he is already a done deal and just needs one last finishing blow to end it all. So to finish it off, Danny turns at the nearest turnbuckle and climbs to the top post. Once on top, he lunges off, looking for a patented slingshot MYSTIFYING DDT. What he did not know is that very move would cost him this match. As if his body operated on its own, Steel leaps at Danny as he fell and grabs his head, bringing him down to the mat with a his ring-shaking FATALITY falling cutting!!

Everyone in attendance erupts in a frenzy after being caught off guard by the fatal counter from Jakeb Steel.

Miles: "HOLY SHiiiiiiiiT!"

Ted Cedar: "WHAT!? NO WAY! FATALITY!? BUT HOW!? He got struck with the Sudden Death! I ... I can't believe what I just saw!"

Jakeb just barely slumps his arm over the body of Danny Diamond, which is enough for the referee to make the three count.

ONE!
TWO!!
THREE!!!

DING DING DING!

Ted Cedar: "It's over! This grueling contest has finally come to an end in the most epic of fashions. Jakeb Steel picks up the victory! What a match! Those two men put on a clinic."

Joey Miles: "You damn right they did! That ending was fucking sweet! I'm marking the fuck out over here!"

Laura Watts: "Here is your winner! JAKEB! STEEEEEEEEEEL!"

Sandy Walkins jumps in glee, hearing the official word of her comrade winning the match. She climbs into the ring, her heart still racing from the roller coaster of emotions, and hugs Jakeb while he laid completely out of it on the mat. She smothers him with kisses on his cheek, before eventually aiding him to his feet with help from the referee. As expected, Jakeb can barely stand and has to use the referee and Sandy as stools to help him walk to the back. Still, considering the battle he put himself through, it is all worth it knowing he has bested a foe he considers to be a worthy opponent. The referee raises Steel's arm in victory before helping him out of the ring and up the ramp to the back.

Ted Cedar: "The wins continue to roll in for Dark Atlas as they build momentum for their eventual title shots. One has to wonder if there is anyone who can this dark alliance."

Joey Miles: "Fuck no. It's like they say, it's their world now and we're all just fucking peasants living in it. It's a global takeover, bitches."

Ted Cedar: "We have to take a commercial break, but we have a lot more in store for you viewers tonight. Stay tuned for more exhilarating action here on XWA Vendetta. We'll be right back."

(( May the best man win. Good luck, Justin. ))

M6 | Danny Diamond vs. Jakeb Steel Empty
PostSubject: Re: M6 | Danny Diamond vs. Jakeb Steel   M6 | Danny Diamond vs. Jakeb Steel EmptyThu May 29, 2014 5:51 am

Jakeb Steel and Danny Diamond stand across the ring from one another. On the outside of the ring stands Sandy Walkins, with her Jakeb doll, and Skye Sapphire here to support Jakeb and Danny, respectively. After the official, Ryu Sanu, makes sure both men are ready to go, he calls for the bell to be rung thrice and the match to officially begin. Almost instantly, Jakeb and Danny lock up in a Collar-and-Elbow Tie-Up that is quickly transitioned into a Side Headlock by the bigger of the two men, Steel. It isn't long after this that Jakeb flips Danny off of his feet with a Headlock Takedown, keeping his speedier opponent grounded. Danny wraps his legs around Jakeb's head, forcing him to break the hold, but Steel quickly kips up, freeing his head from his opposition's grasp, as Diamond hurriedly gets back to his feet. "The Anomaly" runs at Danny, only to be taken straight back down to the canvas with an Arm Drag. He sprints back up to his feet and runs at Diamond again, but Danny lays him down with another Arm Drag. This time, after Jakeb gets back to his feet, he's drilled in the jaw with a beautiful Dropkick that echoes throughout the arena. The strike causes Jakeb to stumble backwards, towards the ropes. Danny quickly rushes forward towards his opponent, but Steel ducks and sends "The Prized Gem" overhead with a Back Body Drop. Fortunately for the Englishman, he managed to land on the ring apron. As Jakeb turns around to see where Danny landed, he's met with a swift kick to the head over the top rope from Danny that sends him groggily walking away. Danny grips the top rope tightly before leaping into the air and springboarding off of that aforementioned rope, spinning in air and bringing his foot into the back of Jakeb's head with his Spinning Heel Kick dubbed the Shot of Adrenaline! The audience pops for the high impact maneuver, as Danny immediately goes for the cover, but it's a kickout just before two.

Ted Cedar
"Excellent maneuver by Danny Diamond right there. He calls that the Shot of Adrenaline and it drilled Jakeb right in the back of the head. I'm surprised he had the wherewithal to kick out after that, despite it being early in the contest."

Joey Miles
"Of course he fucking kicked out. This is Jakeb Steel we're talking about. Although I'm more interested in the two hot chicks on the outside than the match going on."

Ted Cedar
"Of course you are."

Danny pulls his opposition back to his feet and latches onto his wrist, attempting to pull him into an Irish Whip, but Jakeb reverses into one of his own that sends Diamond rushing towards the corner of the ring. Danny showcases his athleticism, however, by leaping into the air and incredibly landing on the very  top rope. Before he can have a chance to make a move, though, Jakeb pushes him from behind, causing Danny to go flying to the outside of the ring and crashing jaw-first on the security barricade. With Skye looking on worried and Sandy the exact opposite, Jakeb ascends the exact turnbuckle he just pushed Danny off of all the way to the top and then waits for his English opponent to make it back to his feet. Once Danny is up, Jakeb leaps off of the top rope, soaring through the air and landing a Double Axe Handle to the back of Diamond's head, perhaps gaining some revenge for the Shot of Adrenaline that nailed him in the back of the head before. Steel looks out at the crowd, his painted face showing a distinct lack of emotion as he is in full control of this match for the time being. On the inside of the ring, Ryu begins a count to ten that could result in both or either men being counted out if they aren't careful. Jakeb grabs Danny by his chin and yanks him back to his feet before drilling him with a punch to the head, followed by a second and then a third. Looking to cause some serious damage, Jakeb does his second Irish Whip of the match, this one sending Danny crashing knee-first into the steel steps and flipping straight over them! The audience jeers heavily as the impact of the whip caused the top half of the steps to be pushed right off of the bottom half and Danny is in severe pain. He holds onto his right knee in particular, having taken the most damage to that one.

Ted Cedar
"Oooh! Danny was just sent crashing into those steel steps and he appears to have banged up his knees pretty bad on the impact. Considering his biggest weapon is his speed, that's not a good thing for Diamond."

Joey Miles
"It wouldn't be a good thing for him anyway. Any time your knees get fucked up, you're in trouble. If you can't walk, you can't win."

With the official now at a count of five, Jakeb quickly rolls into the ring and then immediately back out, forcing Sanu to restart. He heads back over to the Cheshire-native, picking him back up to his feet and dragging him over to the commentary area, where he proceeds to slam Diamond's head into the announce table. As Danny is a bit woozy, Jakeb goes for yet another Irish Whip, this one aimed at the steel post. Fortunately for Diamond, he manages to get his leg up just in time to place his boot on the post, stopping himself from crashing into it. Hearing Jakeb coming at him from behind, Danny quickly dodges to the side and Steel finds himself smacking face-first off of the post! The audience cheers as flesh meets steel, but it isn't the only time that's going to happen as Danny quickly extends his leg out into a Roundhouse Kick, crushing his opponent's head between his boot and the steel post! Some fans cringe at the sight of this, whilst others cheer. Diamond quickly rolls Jakeb into the ring and gets on the apron before ascending the turnbuckle, stopping the referee's count at four. Now perched atop the turnbuckle, Danny looks at Jakeb whom is down in perfect position in front of him. He takes a moment to make sure his balance is perfect before standing erect on the top rope and then leaping off into his Corkscrew Shooting Star Press dubbed the Diamond Press; Danny connecting stomach-to-stomach with his opponent and immediately hooks the leg for a pin! As the audience cheers for the athletic move, Jakeb kicks out at two and the match will continue. "The Rubix Cube" looks up at Ryu, raising two of his fingers to make sure the count was actually two, to which Sanu assures Diamond it was. Frustrated, but not enough to lose focus on the task at hand, Danny gets back to his feet.

Ted Cedar
"Danny with the Diamond Press, but it wasn't enough to keep Jakeb down! This match is already so back and forth, it's impossible to tell who wins."

Joey Miles
"I like both of these guys, but Danny's been a bit of a faggot lately, sucking up to the fans and shit, so I'm rooting for Jakeb. It'll be a big win, regardless of who comes out on top, since this is the rubber match after all."

Diamond gets back to his feet and, shortly after, pulls Jakeb back up to a vertical base as well. He lands a vicious Knife Edge Chop that echoes throughout the arena, accompanied with a loud "WOO!" from the audience. He follows this up with a second and then a third. Danny doesn't stop there, however, landing Knife Edge Chop after Knife Edge Chop, each one being faster and more ferocious than the previous. After landing precisely seventeen Knife Edge Chops to the now bright red chest of Jakeb, Danny lands a quick Cross Chop to the throat of his opponent, making it very hard for him to breathe. Following this, "The Shine" applies a Front Facelock, hooking the arm of his adversary across his shoulder and proceeding to flip him off of his feet and onto his back with a Snap Suplex. The fans continue to cheer for Diamond as he makes his way over to the ropes and, again, begins climbing the turnbuckle. By the time he reaches the top, he slowly begins to stand perpendicular on the peak of the turnbuckle. However, before he can leap off onto an unsuspecting Jakeb Steel, Diamond finds his foot being grabbed by Jakeb's manager, Sandy Walkins! The fans boo as Danny shakes his head, trying to free his foot from the grasp of Walkins. He soon accidentally drills her in the face with his boot, knocking her off the ring apron. Ever the persistent girl, Sandy is about to get back on the apron, when she's tackled to the ground by Skye Sapphire! The audience bursts into cheers as Skye swings away at Sandy and the two go at it, rolling around on the outside of the ring. Distracted by this, Danny doesn't notice Jakeb getting back to his feet and the opportunistic Steel quickly trips Diamond on the top rope, causing a painful landing. With Danny now sort of seated on the top turnbuckle, Jakeb climbs up to the middle turnbuckle and applies a Front Facelock of his own, also hooking Danny's arm as Danny had done to him earlier. "The Pawn of Darkness" raises Danny into the air, ala Suplex, but doesn't take him backwards immediately. Instead, he holds him upside-down, whilst standing on the middle turnbuckle, stalling so he can let the blood pour into the head of his opponent. After a good few seconds of stalling, Jakeb finally falls backwards, taking Danny with him and swinging his body as he does so into a Jackhammer dubbed the Hanged-man's Nightmare!  Jakeb goes for the pin, as Skye and Sandy continue to go at it outside of the ring. He gets only a two and a half count, however, as Danny kicks out just before he could lose.

Ted Cedar
"Humungous Hanged-man's Nightmare by Jakeb Steel! Somehow Danny was able to get the shoulder up. Of course, the move wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for the distraction from Sandy."

Joey Miles
"It doesn't matter how you find the pot of gold, Theodore. All that matters is that you beat the leprechauns."

Ted Cedar
"What?"

Joey Miles
"Nothing. Don't get my reference. Faggot."

Following the pin, Ryu immediately exits the ring to separate Skye and Sandy. Inside the ring, Jakeb doesn't to utilize dirty tactics with the referee's attention elsewhere, realizing he's in full control of the match. He stomps on Danny's right leg a few times, continuing to work on it after Diamond's painful crash into the steel steps earlier in the match. By the time he's done targeting that leg with stomps, Ryu has separated Skye and Sandy and is getting back into the ring. Steel pulls his opponent back to his feet and proceeds to drag him towards the nearest corner of the ring, tossing him into it and drilling him with numerous Shoulder Thrusts. Ryu tells Jakeb to back off, being as though Danny is in the corner of the ring, but Steel doesn't listen. That is, of course, until Sanu administers a five count. At the count of four, Jakeb finally backs away from Danny, raising both of his hands to make sure the referee knows he's not breaking the rules. He goes to run at Diamond, but the Englishman gets his boot up just in time to drill Jakeb in the jaw with it, sending him stumbling backwards. As this happens, Danny hops onto the middle turnbuckle and waits for Steel to turn around. Once the timing is opportune Danny leaps off of the ropes and drills his opponent square in the face with a Missile Dropkick! The fans cheer for Danny mounting a comeback, as he goes for the cover, but is only able to get a light two count. Danny gets back to his feet, seemingly pumped up right now, as he shouts out loudly for the entire arena to hear, "Sudden Death!" The fans burst into cheers, as Danny calls for his finishing maneuver, the Sudden Death Superkick to the throat! He stalks his downed opponent like a wild predator ready to attack its prey, as Jakeb slowly gets back to his feet. With the fans still cheering wildly, Jakeb reaches a vertical base and stumbles around as Danny shoots his leg up, going for the Sudden Death, but Steel manages to catch the foot of his opponent, instantly tripping him and transitioning into the Hell's Vice Ankle Lock! The cheers from the fans immediately turn to boos as Danny could be seconds away from losing this match via submission!

Ted Cedar
"The Hell's Vice is applied! Danny may tap!"

Joey Miles
"Nope, Danny will tap! After the damage his leg took when it hit those steps earlier, in addition to those stomps from Jakeb, he's gotta be hurting. This is it."

The Hell's Vice is locked in and Danny is in the center of the ring. His leg is hurting badly already from the stomps and that crash into the steel steps, so naturally, it's going to be a big challenge for him to get out of this hold. His first instinct is to try to reverse it by rolling forward, which he proceeds to do, but to his chagrin, Jakeb manages to keep the hold applied! He gets back to his feet, continuing to yank and twist on the ankle of his adversary. With Plan A failing, Danny decides to go to Plan B; get to the ropes. He keeps calm, unlike most would in this situation, and slowly begins pulling and dragging his way towards the ropes. With every inch he gets closer, Jakeb twists even harder on his ankle, causing Diamond to stop for a brief moment due to the pain. He continues on, however, ever-so-slowly making his way to the bottom rope. Finally, he comes within a fingertip's reach of the bottom rope, when suddenly Jakeb pulls him straight back to the center of the ring and the audience jeers heavily! Not only that, but Jakeb drops down and applies a grapevine on the move, realizing that Danny can possibly make it to the ropes again if he doesn't. Fortunately for Danny, this takes some of the pressure away from the move. Unfortunately for him, it makes it much hard to get to the ropes. Nevertheless, the proud Englishman is not one to tap out and he begins scratching and clawing his way towards the ropes, dragging not only himself, but also his twenty-seven pound heavier opponent with him! Gradually, with the audience now chanting his name, Danny makes his way to the freedom that is the bottom rope. He reaches out, nearly being able to grab that very rope, but being just a tad bit too far away. One final tug and he reaches out again, this time making it to the rope, if only getting his fingertips on it! The audience cheers loudly for Diamond making it to the ropes, as Ryu begins a count to five, Jakeb breaking up the hold finally after four.

Ted Cedar
"Finally, Danny makes it to the bottom rope to break up the hold! I thought for sure he was about to tap."

Joey Miles
"Bullshit. Who put those ropes so close to Danny?"

Jakeb gets back to his feet, after releasing the hold, and appears a bit aggravated that he wasn't able to make Danny tap out. He yanks the former World Heavyweight Champion to his feet and lands a stiff European Uppercut before attempting an Irish Whip. Danny makes it about three quarters of the way across the ring before just dropping to one knee, due to the immense pain in his right leg. This works for Jakeb, however, whom rushes forward and lands a Dropkick straight to the back of Danny's head. Following this, the face painted man flips Danny onto his back and starts going to work on him with closed fist punches, Ryu trying to tell him to stop it but Jakeb completely ignoring the official's words. Sandy, from outside of the ring, cheers Jakeb on whilst Skye looks on, worried for her boyfriend. After landing quite a bunch of punches directly to the forehead of Danny, Jakeb finally ends his offensive onslaught of strikes and gets back to his feet. He drags his opponent closer to a corner of the ring and then turns his back to Danny and begins ascending the turnbuckle. He stops at the middle rope, appearing ready for whatever it is he's going to attempt to do. Looking out at Sandy, holding her Jakeb Steel doll, he nods at her as if to say this one is over. In beautiful fashion, Jakeb leaps into the air, bouncing from the middle rope to the top rope and then jumping into a back flip, looking for his double jump Moonsault known as the Evil Rain! Steel soars through the air gorgeously but the landing isn't nearly as pretty as the move itself is, as Danny quickly lifts his knees up and Jakeb crashes abdomen-first into them! Again, the fans burst into cheers, but it appears Danny has injured his right leg even more after that last second reversal. Fighting through the immense pain in his leg, Danny goes for the cover, but Jakeb manages to get his shoulder up just in time.

Ted Cedar
"Danny reversed the Evil Rain! But he appears to have done even more damage to his leg with the reversal."

Joey Miles
"Fucking dumbass. Don't move out of the way. Instead, lift your injured fucking leg in the way and hurt yourself more. Idiot."

Diamond begins the slow pull back to a perpendicular base, massaging his right leg as he does so. Meanwhile, Jakeb also starts to get back to his feet. Once both men are vertical, Danny lands a stiff kick to the chest of his opponent, similar in style to Daniel Bryan, utilizing his less-injured left leg. He follows this up with a few more kicks to his opponent's chest, keeping him groggy, before attempting a Roundhouse Kick that could take Jakeb's head right off of his shoulders, only for Steel to duck down under the attempted move and push Danny away, towards the ropes. "The Ultimate Weapon" rushes towards his English adversary, but Danny quickly ducks down, pulling the top rope with him, and Jakeb goes flopping to the outside of the ring, hitting the floor face-first with a loud thud. Danny looks out of the ring and waits for Jakeb to begin getting up, the American superstar using the commentary table for leverage as he shakes his head to get rid of some of the cobwebs of that landing. In the ring, as Jakeb is nearing his feet, Danny begins to run in the opposite direction. He limps whilst running, but gradually starts to run faster as he bounces off of the ropes, as if he was Forest Gump, breaking out of his leg braces. He rushes, as fast as he can with his leg injury, and dives through the middle and top ropes, attempting a Suicide Dive! Jakeb moves out of the way just in time, however, and Danny goes flying straight over the commentary table and crashing into Ted and Joey! The audience lets out a highly mixed reaction for the maneuver, booing for Jakeb dodging but cheering for the craziness. Steel stumbles his way over to the ring, again shaking his head due to the pain he felt from smacking face-first off of the floor, before sliding into the squared circle. Ryu begins a count to ten, as Danny lies on the floor outside of the ring. The audience cheers Diamond on, trying to help will him back to his feet whilst Danny is completely still on the floor, lying directly on top of Joey and Ted. At about a count of five, he finally begins to stir, pulling himself on top of the commentary table and rolling over it, before dropping to the floor on the other side. He crawls towards the ring and begins using the ring apron to pull himself back to his feet, as Ryu reaches a count of eight. He finally stands up vertically, albeit staggered, and Sanu counts nine. Just before he can make the final count to end this match via count-out, Danny slides into the ring and the audience bursts into cheers!

The cheers soon turn to jeers as Jakeb instantly goes after Danny the second he's in the ring, going back to work on his right leg with more stomps. Shortly after, he continues his onslaught by dropping to his knees and cruelly punching away at the leg of the Englishman. With the fans booing heavily, Jakeb tortures his opponent's leg with those punches, before getting back to his feet and stomping on it a few more times. Finally, stopping his angry attack, Jakeb calms down a bit. However, this isn't a good thing for Danny as he calls for the end. The fans continue to boo, realizing Jakeb is calling for his finishing maneuver, the Diamond Cutter known as Fatality! Jakeb pulls Danny back to his feet and applies a Three-Quarter Facelock, setting up for the maneuver, but before he could land it, Danny slides his head free and pushes Jakeb away, towards the ropes! He follows this up by running at Steel and Cactus Clotheslining him out of the ring, but both men land on the apron, albeit on their knees! The crowd bursts into cheers as they get back to erect bases and begin exchanging punches on the ring apron, both men nearly falling off numerous times. "Let's Go Danny" chants build up all throughout the arena, as the audience tries to help give Danny some much needed momentum whilst he swings away at Jakeb, taking as many punches as he gives. One shot from Jakeb completely spins Danny around, almost knocking him off of the apron. Danny would've been better off jumping off the apron, however, as he soon finds out. With his back now to Jakeb, Steel applies a Waist Lock. He looks behind him, noticing the steel steps, and then pulls Danny backwards, off of the ring apron, and sending the back of his head crashing into those very steel steps with a humongous German Suplex! The audience erupts into "Holy Shit" chants as both men lie on the outside of the ring in a great deal of pain, especially Diamond.

Ted Cedar
"Oh my God! Joey, is your headset working again, yet? I can't believe what we just witnessed!"

Joey Miles
"Yeah, it's working. And I'm glad we just saw that! Danny deserved it for flying into me like that!"

Ted Cedar
"It was an accident, Joey."

Joey Miles
"Well, he needs to learn to not fuck up when my beautiful body is on the line."

As both managers of the two wrestlers run over to their respective man, the referee begins a count to ten. Naturally, Jakeb is the first to get back to his feet, albeit a tad slowly and with help from Sandy. Meanwhile, Danny appears to be out cold with Skye trying to get him back into this thing. Jakeb pushes Sapphire out of the ring and grabs Danny by the head, pulling him back to his feet, a task much harder than it seems with Danny nearly unconscious. Once Danny's standing, staggered as all hell, Jakeb smashes his head off of the ring apron three times. He follows this up by latching onto Danny's wrist and Irish Whipping him, with as much force as possible, towards the security barricade. Danny's leg gives on him before he reaches the barricade and he falls, crashing shoulder-first into it. With the official now at a count of six, Jakeb quickly slides into and then back out of the ring, forcing him to restart his count. He heads over to his charming, English opponent and pulls him back up to his feet again before applying a Front Facelock and hooking Danny's arm once more. He lifts Danny into the air and then drops him chest-first onto the security barricade with a Gourdbuster, completely taking the breath out of Danny's lungs! With Danny's chest and above hanging from the apron and his lower body in the crowd area, Jakeb takes a few steps back. He then runs full force and drills Diamond in the side of the head with a knee shot that flips him completely back into the ring-side area! The audience boos as Jakeb is in firm control of this match. The man with paint covering his face picks Danny back up and slides him into the ring. He follows this up by pulling himself onto the ring apron. As Danny is down in the ring, Jakeb latches onto the top rope and readies himself. On the outside of the ring, Sandy shouts for Danny to get back up, wanting him to get what Jakeb has planned. Slowly, Danny does so and begins getting back to his feet, holding onto the back of his head as he does so, still clearly hurting from going into those unforgiving steel steps. Once he finally reaches his feet, Danny stumbles about and Jakeb leaps into the ring, springboarding off of the top rope and going for his diving punch known as the Clash of Horrors, when "The Prized Gem" suddenly shoots his leg into the air and drills his opponent mid-air with his Sudden Death Superkick, crashing right into Jakeb's throat! Fans all around the arena burst into cheers as Danny drops due to fatigue, fortunately landing right on top of Steel. The referee goes for the count, fans chanting along with it. One! Two! Three!

DING! DING! DING!

Ted Cedar
"Danny wins the rubber match! What a huge victory for the former XWA World Heavyweight Champion!"

Joey Miles
"Fuck this rigged shit."

Jakeb rolls out of the ring, hitting the floor on the outside with a thud as Sandy goes to check on him. Meanwhile, Skye gets into the ring and helps Danny back to his feet, holding one of his hands into the air as Ryu holds the other one up.

Laura Watts
"Here is your winner, by pinfall, Danny Diamond!"

Danny and Skye celebrate in the center of the ring with a very explicit kiss as the fans cheer for the victorious Englishman. The show fades to a commercial break.

[Good luck, Lyxon. I had a lot of fun writing this and I hope you did too.]
