I used to have a character that was hypnotized into thinking he was a Pokémon, with the manager yelling moves (Mega punch, Seismic Toss, Cross Chop, Tackle etc.) His signature move was "it's not very effective" which was a Hogan-esq no-sell/hulk up and the finisher was "it's super effective" which was basically an over-dramatic punt to the crotch. Terrible character in hindsight, even if it was a joke and had moderate success.
I also had a character that was gay and obsessed with Oreo cookies.

2WWF had this match called the Pokemon Battle where the wrestlers would dress up as a Pokemon of their choosing, choose a manager to act as their trainer and then they'd have a match where the trainer yells orders for them to do.

Seriously? That Pokemon one sounds great
That other one is basically just Razor/Snoopz/Leo/etc. if they were wrestlers. No real gimmick.

In my old fed, EVPW, there was a character named Jeff Young who was so bad that a fellow role player named "Metal Dragon" did a youtube video reading a promo that Jeff Young did. In the video, he plays the part of Jeff Young LOL, and it's pretty funny.
In my opionion, Jeff Young was played by a young kid or person who lacked knowledge of English language. Here is the video.

It was good for a little while, then the thrill kind of wore off and it got stale. Like I said, it was a stupid character but was fun.
