PostSubject: Re: 3.) Last Man Standing: Jerod Barnez vs. Razor Xtreme   3.) Last Man Standing: Jerod Barnez vs. Razor Xtreme EmptySat Oct 19, 2013 2:14 pm

Legacies. Everyone has one. Some are good, others are bad. Some are well-known, others relatively unknown. Some have been perfected, others just beginning. Tonight, two legacies clash in the center of the ring and possibly outside of it. Razor Xtreme. Jerod Barnez. One is well-known in the wrestling industry and has crafted a name out for himself as one of the best. The other is new to the scene, but lives through the legacy his father set for him. There's no gold on the line, but a lot is at stake in this contest, especially for Jerod Barnez. He has his father's respect on the line. And what a man to face for that respect. Razor is not only a legend of the business and considered one of the best wrestlers of the modern era, but he is now the General Manager of XWA, as we learned earlier in the night. A victory over him would shut up any of Jerod's naysayers, especially after he defeated Caleb Spires last week. Two legends in a row for young Jerod. Will this one prove to be too much for him, however? Not only will this be Jerod's fifth only match in this company, it'll be his first under hardcore rules. Last Man Standing to be specific. Razor is a master of the hardcore art and he'll let Jerod know that tonight. Perhaps the biggest factor of this match is Thomas Barnez, whom sits at commentary with Adam Dennis and Ted Cedar. Will his presence be a distraction? Will Thomas get involved physically? Will he simply sit there and commentate, as he should? We find out now, as Jerod takes on Razor in a Last Man Standing battle.

DING! DING! DING!

XWA official Ryu Sanu calls for the bell to be rung thrice as Razor looks at his opponent with an arrogant grin covering his face. Without warning, the somewhat smaller superstar rushes forward at Jerod, looking for a surprise take-down. It is Razor whom ends up surprised, however, as Jerod catches him by wrapping his arms around him before tossing him over-head with a release Belly-to-Belly Suplex! Razor's body hits the canvas with a thud, but he's quick to get back to his feet. Xtreme rushes at the son of Thomas Barnez only to be grappled and tossed into a second release Belly-to-Belly Suplex! Once more, Razor pops back up to his feet and tries his luck out again, hoping for a different result this time. He does get a different result, but it's still not one he wanted. As he rushes towards Jerod, Barnez quickly tosses Razor into the air before snapping him in the throat and jaw with a beautiful European Uppercut to land his signature Falcon Punch! Razor isn't quickly getting back up now, as he holds his jaw in pain whilst rolling around on the ring canvas. Jerod doesn't give him to rest, however, quickly pulling his "Xtreme" opponent back to his feet and launching him over the top rope. Fortunately for Razor, he manages to land on the ring apron. Jerod notices this and runs at him, only for Razor to duck down, pulling the top rope with him and causing Barnez to go stumbling out of the ring and to the outside. Quickly, "The Rated Y2X Superstar" hops back into the ring and waits for the opportune moment to strike. As soon as Jerod is nearly back to his feet, Razor runs in the opposite direction. He ricochets off of the ropes to gain speed before diving through the middle and top ropes with a beautifully-attempted Suicide Dive! However, it was nothing more than attempted, as Razor flew straight into a brutal chair shot from the bigger wrestler! The audience pops for the first hardcore spot in the match, as Razor hits the floor like a sack of potatoes.

Ted Cedar
"Jerod had the wherewithal to swing that steel chair just in time to save himself. Pretty impressive, eh Thomas?"

Thomas Barnez
"It was brutal, I'll give him that, but Jerod needs to do a lot more than that to impress me after he lost to Kanimaniac."

Adam Dennis
"That was an embarrassment to the Barnez name, for certain. I would say hopefully Jerod can redeem himself tonight, but come on. He's facing Razor Xtreme!"

Ryu begins the first count to ten in this Last Man Standing match, as the only way to win is to incapacitate your opponent for ten seconds. Not surprisingly, Razor manages to make it back to his feet at a count of three, albeit a tad disoriented. Jerod immediately goes back on the offensive side of things, as he repeatedly strikes his foe in the head with a few closed-fist punches that are completely legal in this environment. Following the numerous shots to the already-dizzy Razor, Jerod grabs a hold of his wrist and pulls him into an Irish Whip, sending him rushing towards the security barricade. Showcasing his incredible reflexes, Razor manages to leap into the air before hitting the barricade and actually lands on top of it. He quickly leaps backwards off of the barricade, flipping his body into a Moonsault onto the standing Barnez, that takes both men down to the floor. Leisurely, as Jerod lies down for the moment, Razor gets back to his feet. Ryu doesn't bother counting yet as Jerod soon starts to get up. Seeing this, the former World Heavyweight Champion sets his targets on the steel steps. He pulls the top half off of the bottom half and holds it steadily as he waits for Jerod to reach his feet. Once the timing is just right, Razor runs at his opponent and drills him in the face with the steel steps! Jerod immediately drops to the floor as Razor tosses the steps to the side and demands the official begin counting, to which Ryu obliges.

Thomas Barnez
"Heh. I don't particularly like this Razor guy, but he's definitely no one to be taken lightly. I've been hit with steel steps before and it don't feel good."

Ted Cedar
"This could be it, early on, if Jerod doesn't respond by the count of ten."

And what an embarrassment it would be, if Jerod managed to lose a Last Man Standing match that quickly. Fortunately for the strong superstar, that is not the case as he manages to return to a footed base by the count of five. This doesn't faze Razor, however, whom runs at his opponent and leaps into the air, landing a huge forearm shot to the head that knocks Jerod back down! To soften him up a bit more, Razor stomps down all over his opposition's upper body, before picking him back up to a perpendicular base and sliding him into the ring. Looking around, Razor comes across the steel chair that was earlier used to bash his head in, dented. He tosses that into the ring, as well as getting another chair from under the ring and tossing that one in as well. Xtreme slides into the squared circle before picking up one of the steel chairs that he just tossed in and drilling his opponent over the back with it, as a loud smack is heard all throughout the arena. The chair shot knocks Jerod back down to the canvas and Razor takes advantage of this. He drags his bigger opponent over to the other steel chair, before pressing his opponent's head against it. He then picks up the first steel chair and raises it high into the air before swinging it mercilessly down fo0r an attempt at a con-chair-to! Jerod manages to slide out of the way just in time, however, and steel meets steel. Razor's arms shake due to the vibration from the chairs connecting, causing him to drop his steel chair.

Ted Cedar
"That could've been it for Jerod if he was hit with that con-chair-to. Thankfully, he managed to move out of the way."

Thomas Barnez
"I'm not gonna praise him for almost getting his head taken off."

Adam Dennis
"You a cold cat, Tommy."

Thomas Barnez
"…"

Adam Dennis
"Sorry, I've been watching Blaxploitation movies lately."

After dropping the chair, Razor looks up just in time to see his opponent running wildly in his direction. Acting quickly, Xtreme drops down and ducks under the attempted Big Boot from his opponent, before quickly popping up behind him and applying a Waist Lock. He then proceeds to showcase surprising strength as he pulls his bigger opponent backwards into a release German Suplex that causes Jerod to land neck-first on the canvas. The audience boos as Razor gets back to his feet, a grin once again seen on his face. He heads to the ropes and exits the ring before lifting up the ring skirt and searching under it for a weapon to use at his disposal. Eventually, he comes across something that strikes his interest and he pulls it out from under the ring. This item is none other than a trash can. The hardcore fans in the audience cheer as Razor tosses the trash can into the ring before sliding in after it. By now, Jerod is nearing his feet, albeit without knowing his opponent is behind him. Swiftly, Xtreme slides the trash can around his opponent's upper body, not only blinding him but also exposing him to some potentially dangerous moves. And that's exactly what Jerod receives, as Razor runs to the ropes and rebounds off of them to gain momentum before attempting a Big Boot of his own, this one drilling the trash can into Jerod's head! Jerod falls over, crashing on the canvas, as Razor looks down at him with a sick smile on his face. He isn't done yet, however, as he points to the air, signaling that he's going to go aerial now. The legendary superstar ascends the nearest turnbuckle before reaching the very top and posing for the crowd, only to receive a large amount of jeers. Razor shrugs it off before leaping off of the top turnbuckle and drilling his elbow into the trash can-covered Jerod! Razor flops about on the canvas in pain, having hurt his own elbow in the process, but it appears the damage has definitely been done to his opponent.

Ted Cedar
"Oh my God, what a huge Elbow Drop from Razor! I'm not sure Jerod will be able to get back up after that."

Adam Dennis
"Look at that, Razor sacrifices his own body to win. This guy is a warrior."

Thomas Barnez
"A warrior's pride often gets the best of him. Keep doing shit that hurts yourself and you won't be able to continue. That is, if Jerod is even able to continue right now."

Razor looks up at Ryu before shouting out, "Count him out, now!" Ryu obliges and a count to ten begins. Jerod appears to be completely out of it, despite his face not even being seen as it's still hidden underneath those steps. His body isn't moving in the slightest, however, and this may be it for the young superstar. Ryu's count goes uninterrupted until he reaches seven, when Jerod suddenly appears to show signs of life. He slowly pushes the trash can off of his upper body before attempting to make it back to his feet, which he successfully does by the time the official reaches a count of nine! The audience cheers, although Razor doesn't appear to be too happy about it, yelling at the official for what he believed to be a slow count. Nevertheless, he tries to go back to work on his hurt opponent, but Jerod catches his attempted punch and lands a punch of his own, followed up with a second punch and then a third! Jerod keeps striking away at his smaller adversary before he goes for the big finish. He runs towards the ropes, bouncing off of them for speed, before heading back towards Razor. As he runs, he swiftly spins around before finally practically taking his opponent's head off with a huge Discus Lariat! Razor flips inside out as Jerod lets out a loud, warrior-like roar, much to the approval of the fans in attendance.

Ted Cedar
"Jerod practically took Razor's head off with that humongous Discus Lariat!"

Thomas Barnez
"See, this is the man I trained. Not that guy why faced Kanimaniac weeks back, no, this guy."

Jerod looks down at his opponent and then out of the ring at his father on commentary, pointing down at Razor and yelling, "Is this what you want to see?!" He follows this up by exiting the ring, not taking his eyes off of his father as he does so. Upon reaching the outside of the ring, Jerod finally looks away from his dad to focus on the task at hand; finding another weapon to inflict more damage on Razor with. He searches under the ring for the perfect weapon to use until coming across a fan favorite; the table. Fans cheer all throughout the arena as Jerod pulls the table out from under the squared circle and slides it in. He enters after it before noticing that Razor has made it to all fours. He quickly lands a sharp elbow to the back of Xtreme's head to knock him back down before taking the time to set the table up. Once it's set up perfectly, Jerod puts his focus back on his opposition, whom he pulls back to a vertical base only to drill in the mid-section with a knee and then place his head in between the tall man's legs. Jerod raises Razor onto his shoulders, appearing to be looking to Powerbomb him through the table! Xtreme fights back, however, with numerous punches to the head before he eventually drops down behind his opponent. The two quickly turn around to face each other, when Razor snaps off a vicious Roundhouse Kick to the side of Jerod's head! Jerod falls backwards onto the table before Razor helps push him completely on it. He then rushes to the ropes, leaping into the air and springboarding off of the second rope into a back flip, crashing into Jerod and breaking the table with a huge Xtremesault! Despite their hatred for Razor, the fans can't help but cheer the athletic and hardcore move done by him.

Thomas Barnez
"Impressive and innovative. Razor's playing for keeps tonight."

Ted Cedar
"I don't believe I've ever seen the Xtremesault performed like that before."

Adam Dennis
"Razor is one of those people who knows how to step his game up each and every night. He finds ways to improve his skills, even when it seems like they can't be improved any further."

Both men are down following the huge collision through a table. Naturally, Ryu begins a count to ten that could potentially end in this match being a draw. It isn't until four that either of them stir, with Razor being the one to begin getting back up. He reaches his feet at a count of six and it's now down to Jerod to get back to a vertical base in time. He does just that, managing to reach his feet following a count of nine for a very close save. Razor is immediate in his attack of his bigger opponent, however, instantly going after him with elbow shots to the face. He lands elbow after elbow, with each shot becoming more powerful and quicker than the last. With Jerod seemingly out of it from all of these elbow shots, Razor latches onto his wrist and tries to pull him into an Irish Whip. The big man reverses into an Irish Whip of his own, however, sending Razor rushing towards the ropes. Instead of ricocheting off of them, the ever-so-opportunistic wrestler instead grabs the top rope to keep himself from running back and then slides out of the ring, much to the chagrin of the fans whom boo heavily. Razor smiles as he doesn't care what the fans think of him and he finds it amusing they they're booing for his smart tactics. His smile is wiped clean off of his face, however, as Jerod showcases surprising athleticism by running at the ropes and front flipping over the top rope, crashing back-first into Razor outside of the ring! The audience erupts in cheers at the huge move as both men are now down outside of the ring.

Ted Cedar
"You sure as hell didn't teach Jerod that, Thomas!"

Thomas Barnez
"Hmph."

Ryu exits the ring to keep up with the two wrestlers and notices they're both down, although Jerod appears to be getting back up relatively quickly for having just taken a huge dive. He begins a count to ten, as per usual with the stipulation. However, once Jerod gets back to his feet, he immediately breaks the referee's count by lifting his opposition back to a perpendicular base; perhaps figuring that it wouldn't be enough to keep him down. He wraps his arms around Razor's body before running him into the steel post viciously, Xtreme letting out a scream of agony as his back meets steel. As Razor drops to the floor, Jerod goes over to the commentary table, where he politely asks Laura Watts to get off of her chair. She obliges and he takes the chair, folds it up and heads back over to his opponent. With Razor now approaching his feet, Jerod goes to swing the chair into him, but he dodges out of the way. Angrily, Jerod swings it again, but it's once more dodged by "The Rated Y2X Superstar". Once more, the big man goes to swing it into his opponent, but Razor surprises him by leaping into the air and landing an Enzuigiri that knocks the chair into Jerod's head! Jerod falls backwards, letting go of the chair as he does so, and Razor takes a moment to catch his breath. He sees a perfect opportunity and, with a grin on his face, the legendary wrestler climbs onto the ring apron. He then proceeds to ascend the turnbuckle, perhaps looking for a Moonsault to the outside. The fans cheer, not for the potential of a big move, but because Jerod has started getting back to his feet unbeknownst to Razor. He sees his opposition ascending the turnbuckle and he climbs onto the ring apron. Just as Razor makes it to the tip top of the corner, Jerod runs down the apron and leaps up onto the turnbuckle, wrapping his arms around his opponent from behind as he does so, before pulling him backwards with a huge Avalanche German Suplex that flips Razor and sends him crashing torso-first to the floor outside of the ring! "Holy Shit" chants immediately break out as both men lay on the floor, hurt and exhausted.

Ted Cedar
"What the hell did we just witness?! What a move by Jerod!"

Adam Dennis
"Is Razor moving? I don't think Razor's moving."

Thomas Barnez
"Heh."

As both men lay on the floor outside of the ring, Ryu once again begins a count to ten. It isn't until four when Jerod finally begins to budge. Slowly but surely, he begins to get back to his feet, as does Razor shortly after. Whilst Jerod makes it back up at a count of seven, Razor just barely manages to reach his feet at a count of nine, nearly falling over in the process. The audience cheers for the fact that this match will continue, although some fans boo because Razor hasn't been beaten yet. Nevertheless, Jerod immediately goes back on offense as he kicks Razor in the gut and viciously slams him into the steel steps. As Razor sits, leaned against the steps, severe pain running throughout his body, Jerod decides it's time to find something to help aid him in victory. He looks under the ring for a weapon once more and this time, after some searching, finds perhaps the most deadly weapon seen in this match. He pulls out a board, but not just any board. This board, on one side, is covered with barbed wire! The audience cheers heavily at the introduction of the barbed wire-covered board, which Jerod proceeds to slide into the ring. He then turns his attention back to Razor, but the sneaky bastard surprises him with a low blow, instantly turning the crowd's cheers into jeers. Razor slides his opposition into the ring before climbing onto the apron. He stalks his foe from the apron like a vulture looking to swoop down on the carcass of a rodent. As Jerod slowly reaches his feet, holding his groin in pain, Razor leaps into the air. He springboards off of the top rope, looking for a flying Clothesline, but he's caught mid-air with a beautiful European Uppercut from Jerod! As the crowd pops, the big man immediately drops following the maneuver, fatigue clearly setting in.

Ted Cedar
"A beautiful European Uppercut from Jerod and both men are now down! Who will get back to his feet first?"

Thomas Barnez
"If he knows what's good for him, Jerod."

Once more, Ryu begins a count to ten. Both men appear completely out of it as the audience begins to chant "Let's Go Jerod" in an attempt to will Jerod back to his feet in time. Shortly after, rivaling "Let's Go Razor" chants begin, showcasing that not everyone in the arena is against the legendary superstar. Most likely IWC fans. Nevertheless, the two men are out until about a count of six, when they slowly begin getting up simultaneously. As Ryu reaches a count of nine, Jerod gets back to his feet. Razor reaches a vertical base only a half a second later, as the match will continue, much to the joy of the crowd. Jerod drills Razor with another sharp European Uppercut and Razor returns the favor with a European Uppercut of his own. The two begin to slowly exchange European Uppercuts, drilling each other as hard as they can. Jerod eventually gets the upper hand, landing two consecutive European Uppercuts, followed by a third and then a fourth and a fifth. With Razor seemingly disoriented, Jerod runs to the ropes and bounces off of them for momentum, only for Xtreme to lift his foot into the air and land a Big Boot to the opponent. With Jerod down momentarily, Ryu begins a count to ten. Razor doesn't bother to wait for Jerod to get up or lose, however, as a plot formulates in his mind. He takes the two chairs used earlier and sets them up facing each other a few feet away from one another, somewhat close to the ropes. He then takes the board covered in barbed wire that Jerod recently introduced into the match and places it on the chairs. Razor turns his attention to Jerod, whom is now on one knee. Xtreme drills him in the back with a clubbing forearm blow to force the referee to stop his count, before pulling his opposition towards the turnbuckle. He pushes Jerod to a seated position atop the turnbuckle before climbing up after him. Standing on the middle turnbuckle, Razor applies a ¾ Facelock, clearly setting up for a devastating variation of his Razor Sharp Cutter finisher! The audience erupts into a mixed reaction, but just before Razor could land the move, Jerod pushes him off. Razor almost crashes into the board, but he manages to land right in front of it and stop himself from falling into it. He quickly turns around, only to see Jerod flying at him; the big man leaping off of the middle turnbuckle and landing a huge flying Gore that takes both men through the barbed wire-covered board!

Ted Cedar
"Gore! Gore! Gore!"

Thomas Baqrnez
"Now THAT…That I did teach him."

All throughout the arena, "This Is Awesome" chants with clapping in between begin. Both men are down, with their bodies having been cut open all over from barbed wire. Ryu, despite fearing for their well-being, has no choice but to begin a count to ten. The audience's chant continues until the official reaches four and neither man has moved an inch. The crowd begins to go quiet as they aren't sure who will get back to their feet first, if anybody. Five! Six! Suddenly, both men begin to stir. Seven! They both start desperately trying to get back to a vertical base, although they're having clear difficulties, even just pulling themselves off of the barbed wire. Eight! Both men are now detached from the barbed wire and slowly getting back to their feet. Nine! Jerod makes it to a vertical base just in time. It looks as if Razor, too, will reach his feet, when suddenly he collapses! Ten! Ryu calls for the bell to be rung as "Killing In The Name" hits the PA System and the audience erupts into cheers!

DING! DING! DING!

Ted Cedar
"He did it! Jerod has defeated Razor Xtreme!"

Adam Dennis
"God damn, what a match."

Thomas Barnez
"Well, I'll be a son of a bitch."

Ryu raises Jerod's hand in victory before quickly calling for help for Razor. Jerod stumbles a bit, blood leaking out of his body from cuts created by the barbed wire, as it hasn't quite sunk in yet, what has happened. Thomas puts down his head-set and heads into the ring, as medic enters the ring as well to tend to Razor. Thomas can be seen whispering something to Jerod before extending his arm for a handshake. Jerod smiles and he accepts the handshake.

Adam Dennis
"Look at that, a loving family reunion."

Ted Cedar
"I can't believe Jerod is shaking his dad's hand after what he did to him."

Adam Dennis
"Hey, family's important in this business, Ted."

The two finish shaking hands and Thomas smiles back at his son, before turning the other way and going to exit the ring. Suddenly, "Hey dad!" is heard co0ming from Jerod, as Thomas turns around to see what he wants. Without warning, Jerod rushes full speed ahead at his father and drills him into the canvas with a huge Gore! The audience bursts out into cheers as Jerod looks at his downed father, still exhausted, and says, "Payback's a bitch!"

Adam  Dennis
"What the hell, Jerod?!"

Ted Cedar
"You heard him, Adam. Payback's a bitch!"

Jerod grins before raising both arms into the air and letting out a loud yell as the fans cheer. He exits the ring and the show fades out to a promotional advertisement for next month's XtremeMania.
