I was having a discussion of why Austin didn't give Stephanie a Stunner last night. I concluded it probably isn't a good idea to have Austin attack a mother during this #MeToo Movement.

I know this isn't something Lucha Underground could have predicted 4 years ago. And you know I won't knock them for trying something different. I said I didn't like seeing men wrestle women. I couldn't get into the show. It's just not my thing.

I imagine everything has been taped well in advance. But do you think they should stop the man on woman violence over this #MeToo stuff? Do you think it's going to hurt them? Or will it not matter?

they probably won't, nor should they. the women on Lucha Underground are tough and badasses, they go into work and leave work perfectly fine with wrestling the men. If it's not your taste, that is understandable and it's fine you don't want to watch that. But imo Lucha Underground should not stop doing it

I think they're safe as long as they're on El Rey. This really does make them an "underground" product that can float under the radar and get away with stuff like this.

ROH did it but it was on a house show that was only shown on DVD. Most people were and are not going to see that.

Right now LU gets less viewers than Impact. So it's just the fans watching anyway. Obviously someone watching at this point is a fan of what they do or accept it.

But I think the game would change if they got on Univision. They would have the potential to double Ring of Honor's current ratings. Doesn't mean they would but they could. And new eyes on the product, especially from a causal viewer, wouldn't see the product in the same way.

I haven't been watching. They could just continue what they're doing and maybe it'll work. They can't have someone like Sexy Starr be a rag doll for guys like they did early in the show. It'll be a different story if you have someone that looks like Ronda Rousy or Chyna and dominates smaller guys or guys their size.

the girls have never been rag dolls, they have been tossed around yeah and hit with weapons, but the guys have never taken advantage of the size difference and have gone things that could actually hurt them, like that one douche on the indies who powerbombed the shit out of that one girl. If the women are comfortable taking the bumps from guys, that's all that should matter.
