Honestly I was skeptical of the idea of using your hat as a weapon. You don't have mushroom power ups and that's something we had for decades. It's funny for the song they play the The New Donk City Festival they referee to One Ups but this game has a new lives system as well. Instead of lives you just lose 10 coins for dying.

I think a good number of us that watched the commercial were expecting Grand Theft Auto: Mushroom Kingdom. Well this game isn't like that at all. There's many different levels like you would have gotten in Super Mario 64. And just like that game there's a lot of different objectives you have to finish. Once you beat the boss and get enough moons you can go to the next level.

This game was really fun. This game is about using your hat friend to take control of different enemies to complete objectives. I loved just messing around and seeing what I could do as different characters. I spent hours on each world trying to see if I could get all the moons there. And I think this is one of the few games where I may see if I can get 100% everything. It was that much fun!

I also played the two player mode with Bob. It's basically a girlfriend mode. What I would do is have the less experienced player be Mario and you can help them out by playing at the hat.

If you bought The Switch you need to own this. 9/10.
