| Considering that there are about 4-5 of us that watch anime on this forum, and that's about a third of the active members, I feel this kind of thread would be helpful.
If nothing else, it'll be interesting to see what people are watching right now, even if the thread doesn't work out.
For me:
Currently watching: The Melancholy of Haruhi Surisuzumiya Peace Maker Kurogane Drifters <3 Dragon Ball Super |

I'm assuming you mean the dub of Ghost Stories? I haven't watched it, probably never will, but the clips I've seen are just amazing. Also, TTGL is a masterpiece. |

Yes. It's quite the experience. I'm dub trash, tbh. I only watch subs if I have to. |

| It's one of my all time favorites as well, I just wish people would accept that the original was damn good as well. |

| If the first series wasn't good Brotherhood wouldn't have existed. Brotherhood was just a way to make a few more seasons without continuing the story line from the first show. |

This is actually 100% wrong. The original show diverged from the plot of the original manga about halfway through because the original author couldn't keep up with the pace of the show (the same as what happened with Game of Thrones). Brotherhood follows the plot of the manga all the way through to the end. I've seen like 10-15 episodes of the first series. It's all right. |

| Not all adaptions to something have to be perfectly like what they were adapted from |

| TJ is right, Brotherhood was the full adaptation of the manga. The original diverges very early and is basically it's own show after the first couple of arcs. That's why I personally like both of them, they were both done well, and I even prefer the ending of the original to that of Brotherhood myself. Either way both were worth watching.
That and the original handles the Nina incident as well as Maes Hughes better than Brotherhood does. |

| I recently got a bunch of anime from a friend of mine onto my laptop, and I've been watching Gintama. Fuuuuuuuck, this anime is great. I also started Samurai Champloo, and I have about 10 other animes I still haven't started. I.. I just need to find a new laptop charger.. |

I know that's true but that doesn't make me wrong I don't get what your point was meant to be then? A lot of fans of the manga were upset and wanted a proper adaptation. Anime studios and Mangakas like money. Considering the success of the original, there wasn't a reason not to. It's not even a shoe in most times, I can think of several shows I watched recently that didn't even get an anime only ending despite not having enough source material for the next season. So you never know really. |

Shit all this did was remind me of how much Gintama I have to watch. I put it on hold a while back around episode 70 for reasons I can't remember (wasn't because of the show, it's still great) and really need to get back on it. Samurai Champloo is amazing and I hope you enjoy the ride. |

| On a different note, who is looking forward to S3 of Code Geass?
And if you haven't seen Code Geass you're a terrible person who needs to correct this issue immediately. |
