In this day and age of the WWE are the wrestlers still the drawing point for the WWE.

Is it still the wrestlers who get the people to come or is it the brand itself?

Are people coming to see Roman, AJ, Bray, Ambrose? or are they coming to see WWE as a whole?

It's mostly the brand that's the draw.

I'd say the famous indy talent would be a point imo. Not Roman Reigns. If anything, Cena - he's the WWE anyway. Though, guys like Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura make non-WWE fans watch the WWE. At least, I know a few, not sure if that's a general thing.

The wrestlers can't draw because the system isn't set up for them to draw. Damn near every top guy is on TV for free twice a week. House shows don't mean anything. WWE even conditioned their fans that B-PPVs won't have real payoffs and that the only meaningful things happen at the A PPVs.

So then you get to the A PPVs, the only chance you can draw, and it feels like the brand is drawing. It's just a really fucked up business model. If The Young Bucks can be proven and measureable draws I believe there are guys in WWE that can be too, they're just grossly mismanaged.
