Chilly has decided to leave the site permanently. He posted his reasons as to why in the Admin Room. I'm not going to share them all. I will share some and summarize others.

He also mentions that people don't care about the site. And that's true. This site cannot function if only admins care about the site. The members need to as well. But it offered no insight as to how you can help the site. And it honestly seemed like a joke application.

And off that point, everyday I plan on advertising in some way. Whether that's messaging members, trying to affiliate, or whatever. Yet if the site hasn't turned around come February 1st, I'm done too. Just a heads up.

Chilly talks about how he hated the situations with how Dead & realt were handled. And I'll admit, I am partially to blame. Can't change that though. He talked about the news posting situation, where how there's less topics now and less conversations. Including some of his topics.

When it comes to H2H:

As for H2H, I hope someone takes over cause it's a fun game; really authentic to fantasy sports that are on draftkings & fanduel in a season format. But I won't expect it cause it does take a whole lot of work.

Man, this sucks. I've been with this site for almost six years and it's hard to see this decline. I've tried posting more lately, but it has been very slow. We've had times where the site was dying down over the years, but this seems more prolonged.

This goes back to what I was saying about the fed before. The core group of XWA members are getting older and just don't have the time. I can understand Chilly's frustration after putting so much effort into H2H. I hope he comes back at some point however.

I was upset at the title of this thread but I guess I can't blame Chilly at all. I was coming here for H2H mostly since the eFed closed down.

I guess I am part of the problem though, however I just don't have the time to head up any of those games, etc. It's a shame to see him go but I totally understand why.

If things are interesting people make time, if not then there's no point in even coming on. You say people don't care, there's no reason to care. In the end nobody gets anything out of trying to help this site out. Someone always stepped up for this place, busted there ass to keep it up, they get burnt out then someone else comes in like he aint doing shit it's my turn now. Then it goes downhill and its been a repeated process for a while.

I've seen a lot of good members run off this site by members still around just cause they didn't like the way they were so they had to troll them off. For some reason people here never understand that everyone had their own personality. People wanted everyone here acting professional and mature like them, well people just don't act the same way. If you're gonna be a part of an online community you should probably accept that.

So much shit happened that just brought this place down slowly, it was mainly peoples egos that made it so that people don't wanna do anything for this place anymore. People talk so much shit on Digg I still think he's the best admin we've had. They say he ran off so many good members but where those good members at now. You're only a good member until you stop doing shit for the site. When people did less from the site Digg wouldn't give a fuck about them anymore, they get offended and leave. But at the time it never had much impact except for like once maybe and that's just cause he wasn't around to fix anything afterwards. There's a difference between being a good member and a loyal member. So if this place goes down I just had to point out to the haters that Digg was the shit no matter how he chose to run shit. This coming from me who was told off and kicked off the time many times by him for not doing anything according to him.

Not that I don't like this place, it has some good people, I kept in contact with a few who I know still care about it and want to see it do good. People just need to see what they're good at and contribute with that rather then focus on every single thing to do like Digg did. If this place makes it cool, if not then that sucks but it was fun either way. tl;dr who cares I'll be back here in like a month anyways doing a random drop by lol

Chilly: I think he'll be back eventually, he's left in the past and those were supposed to be permanent departures but he's always gotten the itch to come back. I doubt he'll ever want admin again if he does come back, he didn't really want the job in the beginning but felt he needed to step up anyway

Storey mentioned the fed closing and to be honest I saw that coming a mile away. I kept saying it was a bad omen to have that revolving door of general managers because it was going to eventually kill the morale of the people that wanted to write. If the people in charge don't want to put forth the effort why should the fedders.

Chilly won't be back, cause there won't be anything to come back to.

Good thing I was the last official GM of XWA. I can kind of say I killed the fed.

All jokes aside, this definitely wasn't unexpected. Chilly didn't seem to be having the fun on here that he had on the forums a few years back, and I imagine being an admin that did as much as him would get tiresome. I do hope that whatever Chilly moves on to from here goes well for him and he can maintain a happy life.

Yeah, he did say that other times he left for personal reasons that kind of negatively affected his life but this time he's currently doing fine in life and is happy so that's good to hear. He just felt like moving on cause it's not the same for him on this site anymore.

This sucks for the site, but I do hope Chilly moves on to great things in life. He's a good person and deserves it.
