Drake Dysfunction vs. JHalc: Chamber Qualifier Empty
PostSubject: Re: Drake Dysfunction vs. JHalc: Chamber Qualifier   Drake Dysfunction vs. JHalc: Chamber Qualifier EmptySat Sep 28, 2013 10:29 pm

Following that First Blood match that served as the first of the many King of Xtreme qualifying matches to come, it is now time for the first of many Elimination Chamber qualifying matches to see who will compete for the World Heavyweight Championship at the King of Xtreme pay-per-view.

Ted Cedar
"Ladies and gentlemen, we're moving on swiftly, but we aren't rushing things. Tonight's edition of Vendetta is very important as we start off on the Road to King of Xtreme. Tonight, we begin the King of Xtreme and Elimination Chamber qualifying matches, respectively, to see which star will be one step closer to becoming this year's King of Xtreme and which star will get the chance to dethrone Hitman Alex by becoming the World Heavyweight Champion."

Adam Dennis
"Both controversial and historic matches have spawned winners and have etched the names of these winners in the history books, KOX winners such as the likes of Notorious Megaman and more-recently Trace Demon. Winners of the King of Xtreme have gone on to main event Xtreme Mania and have achieved greatness, and I just know we're gonna see the same this year."

Ted Cedar
"Indeed, and what a kick-off we just finished witnessing with the first participant advancing in the King of Xtreme tournament. Now, it's time to see who will be the first to qualify for King of Xtreme's Elimination Chamber match."

The eerie intro to "Whatever" by Godsmack sounds through out the venue before the actual instrumentals to the song kick in. This is the music of the 2x XWA Intercontinental Champion, a man vying to be able to qualify for what is known in the wrestling world as one of the most sadistic and violent matches of all time. If the Intercontinental Champion won this match tonight, not only would he be recognized as one of six contenders to Hitman Alex's newly-won World Heavyweight Championship, but he would also be one of six unfortunate souls to enter this appropriately-dubbed satanic structure. As soon as Sully Erna begins singing the opening lines to this Godsmack hit, out walks the Dysfunctional One, clad in his wrestling attire of white shorts that are cut open on the sides (classic "Motor City Machine Gun" Sabin apparel) with a black leather jacket with a cotton hoodie (AJ Style's heel jacket. Above all else, he wears Intercontinental Championship gold around his waist, letting us know that--yes--he's one of the fortunate ones to be recognized as a champion.

The opening bell rings as Laura Watts is heard announcing the participant's arrival.

Laura Watts
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is an Elimination Chamber qualifying match scheduled for one-fall. Introducing first, from Los Angeles, California, weighing in at 220 pounds. He is the XWA Intercontinental Champion: Drake.... Dysfunction!!!"

Adam Dennis
"There is the 2x Intercontinental Champion, making his presence known to the world and...strangely enough, he's got a somewhat positive ovation here."

Ted Cedar
"We're in Los Angeles, California; the hometown of the man making his way down the ramp right now. You see the smile on his face? It means he's happy to be home."

Adam Dennis
"And with this important match he must participate in next, what a shame it would be for him to lose this one in his own home."

Drake makes his way down to the ringside area, now making his way up the steel steps. He walks across the arpon before entering the ring through the ropes before him. The champion removes the thing that makes him champion from his waist and raises it up for the people of Los Angeles to see as he stands atop of the second set of turnbuckles. Also raising his fist in the air, he declares to those in attendance that "this will be....his finest hour." (Christopher Daniels, EAT YOUR HEART OUT!). He hops down from the turnbuckles, landing on the canvas feet-first just as his entrance music begins to fade. He hands the championship and his jacket to a stagehand on the outside as he awaits his opponent's arrival.

THIS IS NOISE!

"Chamber the Cartridge" by Rise Against starts off at the slow pace that we're used to hearing by now, with the drum line going and the guitar just having that awesome intro for this awesome individual: "The Jack of Hearts" JHalc. Out he comes to a mixed ovation due to his chaotically neutral attitude he carries day-in and day-out in the XWA. He appears on the stage with a sense of confidence about him, sporting his usual gear. He looks dead at the ring as he locks eyes with the man he's gotta beat in order to qualify for the chamber match at KoX. As soon as the music picks up, he marches down the ramp, looking side to side at the fans reaching out their hands out.

Laura Watts
"And his opponent, from San Diego, California, weighing in at 217 pounds: 'The Jack of Hearts' JHALC!!!"

Ted Cedar
"A great reaction from the LA crowd here, fortunate enough to attend yet another edition of XWA's premiere show."

JHalc makes it to the ringside area, stomping up the steel steps and making his way across the ring apron with the same swagger he used to make it down the ramp. Then, stepping into the ring through the ropes one foot at a time, he climbs up the nearest set of turnbuckles and poses for the 11,312 in attendance this evening. Both men are now secure in the ring as the Rise Against track fades out. The referee then wastes no time in signalling for the commencement bell to be run three times.

DING DING DING!

Ted Cedar
"And here we go with this qualifying match!"

Adam Dennis
"Having seen these two in action, this first-ever confrontation between JHalc and Drake Dysfunction looks to be an interesting turn out."

It's the first time ever that the former XWA and SIW Champion goes head-to-head with the reigning XWA Intercontinental Champion. JHalc looks to win this match in order to receive the opportunity to perhaps capture his second world title in the Elimination Chamber at King of Xtreme, while Drake looks to win this qualifier to possibly go on to KoX to win his first-ever World Heavyweight Championship. Both of these hopefuls have a lot to gain in this match as they begin circling the ring, looking for an opening. In mere moments, both men lock up in a collar and elbow tie-up, which Drake Dysfunction instantly turns into a side head lock, tugging on the head for added pressure to the head and neck. Before JHalc can do anything to escape the headlock, Drake slams him down back-first onto the canvas by the head. "The Jack of Hearts" rolls out of being slammed onto the mat, once again standing at a vertical base and Drake tries following up with a clothesline. JHalc actually hooks the arm he's about to be clothesline'd with and comes out with his controversial Float-Over DDT.

Ted Cedar
"And things have already picked up! JHalc hitting that Float-Over DDT on Dysfunction! Dysfunction's head bouncing off the mat!"

With that said, Dysfunction lays flat on his back after getting spiked with that DDT and JHalc goes over for the quick cover. "1....T-" and Drake shoots the arm up with the official calling it at "barely 2". JHalc latches on a side headlock and brings his opponent up to a vertical base, and Drake forces JHalc back-first against the ring ropes. In hopes that he can Irish whip in order for the headlock to be released he sends him running forward. However, JHalc stops in his tracks in the middle of the ring, tightening up the headlock, causing Drake to audibly grunt. "The Dysfunctional Champion" grunts some more, this time as motivation to lift JHalc up into the air and plant him down onto the mat with a back suplex. This releases JHalc's grip on "The Dysfunctional One", and we also see JHalc roll out of the ring after taking that suplex. He tries walking it off on the outside, his face muscles tightening up as he cringes in pain.

Adam Dennis
"The action looks pretty balanced here so far. Drake just found a way to get out of that headlock and now JHalc's on the OUTSIDE HERE!!!"

And the reason Adam Dennis' voice heightened on those last two words is due to the fact that JHalc just happened to turn his attention to the ring just in-time to see Drake go up and over the top rope, crashing into him, thus causing him to slam into the frontal part of the announce desk. This Suicide Dive was risky, but it was enough to get the job done. JHalc's on the floor, screaming in agony while arching his back while Drake favors his head. Apparently, they managed to bump heads on that last one. However, Drake is still the first man up to his feet, using the steps as a bit of leverage as he aims to do something else to his opponent. The referee is in the ring, calling both men back in so that the match can continue as planned. Obviously, Drake isn't one to listen to the referee directly at that time--something that most other wrestlers are guilty of doing--but he still walks towards JHalc and sees that he's on his hands and knees, attempting to get on his own two feet as the referee begins the familiar 10-count. "ONE!" Drake "assists" him in doing this, but this is far from "lending a helping hand". "TWO!" As soon as JHalc is vertical, Drake Irish whips the man, sending him running chest-first into the steel ring post, the fans audaciously "Oh"-ing at what they see transpire. "THREE!" With that, "The Jack of Hearts" ends up on his back, holding his chest with both hands.

Ted Cedar
"Good god, the Intercontinental Champion is simply taking it to JHalc here, showing no remorse."

Adam Dennis
"He's not called Dysfunction for no reason. I believe there's nothing this guy won't do to his opponents."

"FOUR!" JHalc pulls himself up to his feet and, when he looks to his left, he sees Drake running at him. JHalc darts out of the way, causing Drake to miss that bicycle kick he had planned for him. "FIVE!" Drake has his leg draped over the barricade now, and JHalc quickly performs a lariat to knock Drake off the barricade and sending him back-first onto the floor. "SIX!" JHalc picks up "The Dysfunctional One" by the head and then rolls him into the ring. JHalc enters the ring to see Drake Dysfunction already going vertical. However, JHalc denies him his standing privileges as he chops the back of the knee, causing Drake to tumble and land on his back, cradling the leg that was attacked. JHalc uses that same leg to his advantage as he hooks it for a pin. "1....2..." and it's no good as "D-Double" manages to kick out and JHalc takes the same leg and turns Drake on his belly, looking to apply more damage to the leg with the Single-Leg Boston Grab.

Adam Dennis
"Would you look at this? He first chop blocks the leg and then synches in that Single-Legged Boston Grab on that same leg, maintaining the pressure on that leg and inflicting more pain on it."

Ted Cedar
"JHalc is being smart here, working on that leg and taking away some offense from Drake Dysfunction. However, with Dysfunction, it's a two-way deal. Sure, you might take away Drake's chances of hitting some nasty kicks such as that Dysfunction Kick, but he can still put his arms to good use with that Dysfunctional Hell cutter or the Dysfunction Factor. A lot of weapons for Drake to use to his advantage."

While the commentators were going through their strategic talk, Drake is trying to crawl his way to the bottom rope. JHalc is just pulling on that leg with all of his might, keeping the hold expertly applied. Still, Drake is not giving up here as he begins the crawl to the bottom rope. He then drops back down on his chest again after a sharp pain goes up the leg from JHalc applying more pressure, not relenting from this hold. He's inches away from the bottom rope, yet the referee asks him if he wants to give up. Drake Dysfunction frantically shakes his head, grunting from the pain he's in. He lets out a scream as the pain is getting tough to bare. The referee asks Drake the same question, but Drake screams "NO!". "The Dysfunctional One" lifts himself up off the canvas and and crawls just a bit more before he latching onto the bottom rope with his right hand.

Adam Dennis
"Drake shows no signs of quitting as he makes it to the bottom rope to break the hold...that is if JHalc is willing to break the hold."

Well, let's find out if JHalc is willing. The referee does indeed see that Drake is grasping the bottom rope and immediately goes over to JHalc and starts counting to 5 in his face, a face showing furious aggression as he cockily waits for the referee to utter the 4-letter word "FOUR!" before he releases the leg. However, JHalc begins stomping on the leg and Drake begins screaming in agony with every stomp. The pain is too much, but the ref begins trying to pull JHalc away from Drake, not only wanting some reprieve but because of the fact that Drake is STILL holding the bottom rope. JHalc again tests the ref's patience by waiting for him to get to 4 before he ceases from stomping a mudhole in Drake's leg. After the attack, Drake grabs the leg, favoring it. JHalc stands tall over his opponent, a grin on his face letting us know that the damage could have been done. Drake begins pulling himself to a vertical base using the ropes for support as JHalc calls him up to his feet. Drake now stands at a vertical base--hobbling on one foot, but standing nonetheless. JHalc can't help but look down at the leg that now-hovers over the canvas since Drake, I believe, is resisting to put any weight on it.

Adam Dennis
"JHalc's looking at that leg like my dog looks at a piece of steak. JHalc sees the jackpot. He sees the weakness and plans on going after it some more."

Ted Cedar
"Damn right. Nothing is stopping JHalc here-"

Before Teddy can finish, JHalc wastes no time whatsoever in attacking Drake. He first drops him to his knees by giving him a solid boot to the gut. This prompts JHalc to hit the move that he usually hits to knelt opponents: the Snap DDT. Drake's head bounces off the canvas, the impact causing him to flop right onto his back. JHalc now goes for the cover, but issmart about it as he hooks the injured leg.

T-KICKOUT!!!

Drake Dysfunction manages to kick out. JHalc eyes are widened as he is surprised by the resilience of this man. Injured leg hooked and all, he found the will and the strength to kick out, even after that Snap DDT that would put most opponents away. Still, it was indeed a kick-out, so JHalc still needs to find another way to put Drake away. Knowing JHalc, this was just the beginning of worse things to come. This was mainly the appetizer to a great meal. JHalc grabs Dysfunction by the head, pulling him up to his feet slowly, speaking to him once he's standing.

JHalc
"I'm going to the chamber, champ. You can keep your IC title. I'm going for bigger things, bud. Nothin' persona-"

Drake suddenly catches JHalc by surprise with the jumping cutter he calls the Dysfunctional Hell, a move that cuts him off in mid-sentence and sends him face-first into the canvas. Thunderous cheers arise after that move as both men lie flat on the canvas.

Ted Cedar
"GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY! Dysfunctional Hell outta nowhere!! I tell ya, Drake Dysfunction will pull off some shit that will make you jump out your seat!"

Adam Dennis
"Sit back down! The match ain't over yet!"

Well, it could very-well be as Drake turns over, draping his hand on the chest of JHalc.

Thr-

And this time it's JHALC getting the shoulder up, surprising Drake. Drake then musters up the strength to make it on his hands and knees. He then makes it on his feet, now limping over to JHalc, who works on just making it to his hands and knees. He's quite dazed after that cutter, but not out of the game yet. Drake grabs him by the head and hits him with a right hand to the face, which sends JHalc reeling backwards into the ropes. Jhalc literally bounces back into Drake Dysfunction with a right hand of his own, a hard-hitting right hand that almost sends Drake completely off balance, but he's still able to maintain his footing. Drake goes for another right hand and it connects with the forehead. JHalc stands awkwardly, feet spread apart (like Cena selling a hard fist to his head), but still standing. He then snaps back with a right, then Drake snaps back with his own right hand punch. Pretty soon, the rhythmic blows soon begin to quicken in pace until both men start a rapid trade-off of right-handed blows to each other, which sees JHalc gaining control when he comes at Drake with an unexpected left-handed haymaker that rocks "The Demolitionist" to the point where he soon finds himself backed up into a corner. JHalc begins to spear his shoulder into the midsection of the Intercontinental Champion. After 5 shoulder thrusts into the abdomen, he Irish whips Drake out of the corner. However, Drake turns it around on him and pulls him in so that he can double him over with a kick to the gut. He does so and then hits a Snap DDT of his own, leaving JHalc in trouble. After this he gets up on his feet, still hobbling but able to spread his arms to his sides and scream a battle cry that causes his hometown crowd to cheer him. Drake then turns around drops down over JHalc to hook the leg.

1....2...

And it's no good as JHalc kicks out. JHalc struggles to just get on his knees but still does it. He then uses the ropes next to him to slowly pull himself up while Drake just waits for him.

Ted Cedar
"These guys are just pushing each other to the limit now. What will happen next?"

JHalc staggers towards his opposition and Drake merely gets him in an STO clutch, smiling at the camera that's viewing all this happening to assure the fans watching at home that they're going to like what they see. However, before he can go for his patented D-4 maneuver, JHalc sweeps the injured right leg of the champion, sending him crashing down to the canvas back-first. Drake screams in pain and JHalc grabs the leg, turning Drake over onto his belly and teasing the same maneuver that had a hand on hurting Drake's leg. However, instead of tucking the leg under his arm for the Single-Legged Boston Grab, he instead stands behind Drake, twisting the ankle with the Ankle Lock! Drake begins screaming and clawing away at the mat while the referee gets in his ear, asking him if he wants to give in. Drake begins screaming "NO!" as he just lays their flat on his stomach while JHalc has his way with the ankle, twisting and wrenching away at it. Drake's hand then hovers over the canvas, teasing that he may tap out.

Adam Dennis
"I was wondering when the Ankle Lock would be applied. That's a deadly move that JHalc can use to easily gain a submission win here, but will Drake submit?!"

Ted Cedar
"He's going to have to submit! He's too far away from the ropes which we're looking at directly AND he's in the center of the ring. JHalc has him right where he wants him now."

Drake pushes himself off the canvas with his hands. It looks like he's going to attempt to crawl over to the ring ropes. It looks to be his main salvation here. He starts crawling over, dragging his body weight. JHalc teasingly walks with him, but then ultimately drags him back to the center of the ring, twisting the ankle even more. The more pressure being applied to this Ankle Lock means the more screams are heard coming from the mouth of Drake Dysfunction. Drake tried crawling his way to salvation, but it didn't work. So, what can he really do at this point?

Adam Dennis
"What the hell is he going to do? He's gonna have to tap here!"

Giving up looks to be the only option for Drake, but when there's a will, there's a way. Drake somehow musters up the strength to turn onto his back and push "The Jack of Hearts" away. Into the ropes goes JHalc as Drake makes it up to his feet, relying heavily on the one leg that isn't hurt. JHalc comes off the ropes and looks to clothesline Drake Dysfunction, but he ultimately gets caught in the STO clutch. Without hesitation, Drake leaps into the air with JHalc, both men turning in mid-air before JHalc ultimately lands back-first into the canvas, Drake having successfully connected with the D-4. The fans cheer at the sight of this as Drake crawls over for the cover.

Ted Cedar
"The D-4! This could be it!!"

THRE-NO!

That wasn't enough to finish JHalc as he gets the shoulder up at the last second. JHalc is breathing heavily, having gotten winded after landing on his back with that impact. Drake reaches down and grabs JHalc, attempting to pull him up, knowing what he has to do. He places JHalc underneath him, in-between his thighs in what is the set-up for his finishing maneuver. Drake Dysfunction then scoops up "The Jack of Hearts into a rack and then spins him out into the elevated spike DDT, completing this sequence known as the Dysfunctional Disaster. Drake Dysfunction turns JHalc onto his back and hooks both legs this time.

1......2.......3!!!

DING DING DING!!!

Laura Watts
"The winner of this match....and advancing to the Elimination Chamber: DRAKE DYSFUNCTION!!!!"

Drake Dysfunction has done it. He has beaten "The Jack of Hearts" JHalc in order to qualify for the Elimination Chamber. "Whatever" by Godsmack starts playing as he remains on his knees, the referee walking over to him and handing him his Intercontinental Championship. The title now rests on his shoulder and he gets his hand raised in victory while still being knelt down, exhausted from that match.

Adam Dennis
"And just like that, Drake Dysfunction qualifies for the Chamber match at King of Xtreme. Our first of many to qualify, at least, since AJ Miller's earlier attempt failed."

Ted Cedar
"Who knows? Drake Dysfunction could still potentially meet the likes of AJ Miller inside the chamber if he beats T.K. tonight. There are endless possibilities in the XWA. What we know for sure is that Drake is now one of the 6 contenders for the gold around Hitman Alex's waist."

Drake rolls out of the ring, limping up the ramp with his championship on his shoulder and his jacket being carried over his other shoulder. It's off to the showers for this victor and off to a commercial break before the next match.
