Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima has revealed what he notes is the final poster for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, via Twitter.
Kojima explained the poster, which depicts Snake and sniper Quiet dripping with blood, will be seen in “limited stores” from August. He also explains the text reads, “stained in blood, the aftermath of revenge.”
Earlier this month the Japanese voice actor for Solid Snake, Akio Otsuka, claimed Kojima Productions was forced to disband, and it’s since been noted that both the Kojima Productions logo and Hideo Kojima’s name have been removed from the official Metal Gear Solid V box art as of last week. It’s a move that seems to have been peculiarly foreshadowed in a strange mission featured in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, which set players the task of deleting the logos of Metal Gear games directed by Hideo Kojima.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is set to arrive on September 1.
